Staying inside means more time to watch TV! Who wowed us on screen this past week? Read on and find out!

Nominated by Melissa: Jane Levy as Zoey Clark in Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist on NBC

Jane Levy had a big job in this week’s episode, “Zoey’s Extraordinary Glitch”. For the first time, one character sang all the “heart songs”, and that character was Zoey. Jane did a spectacular job performing SIX musical numbers, revealing a lot about Zoey’s inner life as well as her confusion about some of her feelings. The final performance, singing “How Do I Live Without You?” to her father, was devastating and cathartic. This episode should be Jane’s Emmy submission.

Seconded by Karen:

I agree with the Jane Levy nom. Not only did she have six numbers, she also sang a few of them in two different ways. (bad and good). Zoey also had myriad emotions, and they were portrayed by Levy impeccably. Confusion, denial, despair, outrage… and probably a few more that I missed here. This series gets better and better each week.

Third-ed by Rueben:

I couldn’t say it any better than what Mel said.  I totally agree!  Jane Levy was great in the latest episode of Zoey.

Nominated by Karen: Emily Hampshire as Stevie Budd in Schitt’s Creek on PopTV

I’d also like to nominate Emily Hampshire as Stevie Budd in Schitt’s Creek. She accompanied Johnny and Roland to NYC to pitch their business plan this week. I 100% believed her confidence being boosted by Johnny’s competence reversal. When they came back from their break during the meeting, she was buoyed by his upped game, and delivered a perfect explanation of their business plan. I’m going to miss this show terribly, but I’m totally on-board for a Stevie-based spin-off. I’d be ALL. IN.
