Dragon Con is officially in full swing, and the cosplay this year is nothing short of incredible! From superheroes and sci-fi legends to fantasy favorites and completely original creations, Dragon Con brings together some of the most talented and creative cosplayers you’ll ever see. If you’re looking for the ultimate people-watching experience, there’s no better place to be than the Dragon Con Parade.
Atlanta’s largest and most colorful parade kicks off tomorrow, Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. ET and is free and open to the public. Whether you’re a longtime Dragon Con veteran or experiencing the magic for the first time, the parade is one of the weekend’s can’t-miss events.
Parade Route
The parade route will follow its traditional path through downtown Atlanta:
- Starts at the intersection of Peachtree Street and Linden Avenue
- Travels south on Peachtree Street
- Turns left onto Andrew Young International Boulevard
- Turns left onto Peachtree Center Avenue
- Ends between John Portman Boulevard and Baker Street, directly in front of the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, one of Dragon Con’s host hotels
No matter where you choose to watch along the route, you’ll have a great view of the action.

Getting There
The parade route is conveniently located near three MARTA stations:
- North Avenue
- Civic Center
- Peachtree Center
Downtown parking fills up quickly during Dragon Con weekend, so attendees are strongly encouraged to take MARTA whenever possible.
Tips for Watching the Parade in Person
Arrive Early
If you’re hoping to snag a front-row spot, set your alarm! Fans often begin lining up before 8:00am , and many of the prime viewing locations are filled by 9:00am
Bring a Chair
You’ll likely be on your feet once the parade starts, but having a folding chair during the wait can make a huge difference. Your future self will thank you.
Don’t Stress About Finding the Perfect Spot
While many spectators gather near the beginning and end of the route, there are fantastic viewing opportunities all along the parade path. You don’t have to be packed into the busiest areas to enjoy the show.
Settle In and Enjoy the Experience
The parade typically lasts about an hour, but the fun starts long before the first group marches by. Enjoy the excitement, admire the amazing costumes, and soak in the unique Dragon Con atmosphere.
Can’t Attend? Watch From Home!
Not able to make it downtown? No problem. The 2026 Dragon Con Parade will be broadcast live on CBS Atlanta beginning at 10:00am ET. Coverage will continue throughout the entire parade, so you won’t miss a moment of the action. DCTV will broadcast the parade live on a closed circuit to the convention’s host hotels, with rebroadcasts throughout the weekend.
