Women of the Week

In this week’s edition of Women of the Week, it was all about the laughter and the feels! Who are we raving about this week? Read on and find out!

Nominated by Mel: Anna Camp as Ginny on Perfect Harmony (NBC)

Ginny has had more emotional and poignant moments this season than she had in this week’s episode, moments Anna Camp has portrayed skillfully, but her performance this week tickled my funny bone. She was witty and sly and kept a somewhat ridiculous storyline – the all-night Hymnathon/quest to get cheaper hotel lodging – from veering into farce.

Nominated by Ange: Elle Paris Legaspi and Fernanda Urrejola as Valentina and Gloria Acosta on Party of Five (Freeform)

I know I picked Legaspi last week but this young actress – who might I add is not even a teenager yet – really knocked it out of the park again on the new Freeform drama. The scene in this week’s episode where the mother and daughter try to hold back sobs and try to be strong for each other even though tears were rolling down their faces, was heartbreaking to watch. (After some quiet prompting from her son and Valentina’s older brother, Berto, Gloria was telling her youngest daughter that they need to dial back their regular phones calls.) I have to keep reminding myself that Legaspi is only 12!
