Can we talk about Angela Basset? That woman is amazing. Her character Athena Grant on Fox’s 911 is a powerhouse. The idea that we get to watch her on TV on a weekly basis is mind-blowing. This week’s episode gave us an origin story it did not disappoint. The way she pulled us into the story and made us care about a character we had just heard about was impressive. Her character is strong but human and I love watching her kill it every week.

I would only want to add that actress Pepi Sonuga should get a nod too as she portrayed Young Athena, and I was just as impressed with her.
