HART OF DIXIE: Together Again

By  |

In the home stretch of the season, life is still rather complicated for Bluebellians alike. But isn’t that what we watch this for?

Weird Medical Case of the Week: Wanda’s a little upset with getting her period after all that work from last episode. Now she’s saying she won’t have a baby if she has to go on that med again. Holding onto Shelby’s baby for a night helps to get the two of them to go back for another round of treatment.

Town Gossip: As a way to get over the problem of his little fun with ice cream in the kitchen, George is off to try and find a famous food critic to give a better review to Fancy’s to help bring business back up. Zoe follows him, but only so this food critic can review the Rammer Jammer to help Wade. None of that is going to well. Zoe manages to find the critic, but George might be too wound up to actually help. As the fates would allow, the critic’s car broke down, and now George and Zoe are going to drive him to Bluebell. That man turns out to be a fraud and drives off with George’s car, and their phones. Hitchhiking back to town is not going well, either. Eventually they get a ride from a Truitt brother, who wants to have some time with George. Neither of them are catching a break today. The Truitt brothers have a punishment for each of them, and George and Zoe are confused by the whole idea, but get out of the whole deal with a kiss.

Relationship Drama: Wade is really pissed off about the whole thing with Vivian and is taking it out on Zoe. She’s trying her best to help him, but in the end, Wade gets help from Lemon who goes on a trip with him to play hookey from life in Bluebell. The two of them run into a guy who they think is the food critic, and offer to bring him back to town to help their restaurants. As all things in Bluebell, Lemon and Wade happen upon Brick and Shelby at the restaurant. Is this all going to help him get over Vivian? Their critic actually was the food critic and he’s going to write up a review of either the Rammer Jammer or Fancy’s. It all wasn’t good enough to help Wade over Vivian, though.

In the wake of his break-up with Annabeth, Levan is finding it hard to still be awkward around her parents, even as Annabeth is introducing her family to her new beau. This introduction is really awkward – Davis is not a huge football fan, and Annabeth’s dad can’t seem to understand Davis’ DIY podcast. In fact, it’s so awkward for her parents that they go visit Levan when they said they wanted to nap. Maybe Annabeth’s parents aren’t in town to meet Davis after all. Davis is also the most understanding boyfriend ever, because he’s not even upset at Annabeth’s parents for leaving them.

Shelby pops in for a visit and over dinner at Fancy’s professes that she wants him back, and that she’s not totally happy with the Lieutenant Governor. That’ll go over about as well as Shelby returning to town after all.

In the end, it’s really all about everyone trying to be happy and finding that most of the time, they maybe aren’t. Isn’t that sad?
