The new dramas picked up by FOX include The Passage and Proven Innocent, but they won’t air until the mid-season.

The Passage – Based on author Justin Cronin’s best-selling trilogy the series will focus on Project Noah, a secret medical facility where scientists are experimenting with a dangerous virus that could lead to the cure for all disease, but also carries the potential to wipe out the human race. When a young girl, Amy Bellafonte (Saniyya Sidney from Fences and Hidden Figures) is chosen to be a test subject, Federal Agent Brad Wolgast (Mark-Paul Gosselaar from Pitch) is the man who is tasked with bringing her to Project Noah. Ultimately, however, Wolgast becomes her surrogate father, as he tries to protect her at any cost. The cast includes Caroline Chikezie (The Shannara Chronicles), Vincent Piazza (Boardwalk Empire), Jamie McShane (Sons of Anarchy), Brianne Howey (The Exorcist) and Emmanuelle Chriqui (Entourage).

Proven Innocent – The series follows an underdog criminal defense firm led by Madeline Scott (Rachelle Lefevre from Under the Dome), a fierce and uncompromising lawyer with a hunger for justice. There is no one who understands the power of setting an innocent person free more than Madeline. At age 18, she was wrongfully convicted, along with her brother, Levi (Riley Smith, from Frequency and Life Sentence), in a sensational murder case that made her an infamous media obsession, a household name and a national cause célèbre. Madeline runs the firm with her partner, Easy Boudreau (Russell Hornsby from Grimm), the very lawyer who helped set her free after seven years in prison. The series also stars Vincent Kartheiser from Mad Men), Nikki M. James (Tony Award winner) and Brian d’Arcy James (Smash and 13 Reasons Why).

The Orville and Gotham will both return for new seasons during the mid-season as well.

There are no significant updates for new seasons of Prison Break and 24; both are in early development. There are also no plans for more episodes of The X-Files.
