The following list provides the dates of the dramas that will debut, return or end on the major and cable networks as well as on streaming services AND the made-for-TV movies and so much more that will air all throughout August:

August 1 – The Hallmark Channel movie Toast to Italy will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Jenny travels to Italy for a special bottle of wine for her sister’s wedding. She meets Arrigo, also looking for the famous “Love Wine” and together their search leads to a love of their own. The movie stars Torrey DeVitto and Will Kemp.

August 2 – The season finale of Patience and the series finale of Grantchester will both air on PBS at 8 and 9 PM respectively

August 2 – The third season premiere of Lioness will air online on Paramount+

August 2 – The second season premiere of The Librarians: The Next Chapter will air on TNT at 9 PM

August 5 – The second season of the period piece drama The Hardacres will premiere online on Britbox today while the season finale of A Woman of Substance will also air online on Britbox today

August 5 – The new drama Sterling Point will debut online on Amazon Prime today

Show Synopsis: The series is a heartfelt, coming-of-age drama led by 17-year-old Annie Jacobson (Ella Rubin). Raised in New York City with her twin brother (Keen Ruffalo) and loving adoptive father (Jay Duplass), Annie’s life takes a turn when she inherits her mysterious grandfather’s island in Canada. There, she finds new friends, budding romances and untold family secrets. The cast includes Amélie Elisabeth Hoeferle, Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie, Daniel Quinn-Toye, Bo Bragason, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Nikko Angelo Hinayo, Mabel Strachan, Elle-Maija Talifeathers, and Missi Pyle.

August 5 – The new FX drama The Shards will debut at 9 PM on linear TV and then will debut online on Hulu too

Show Synopsis: Set against the vivid backdrop of 1980s Los Angeles, the series follows a group of privileged high school seniors at an elite prep school as they navigate identity, sex, jealousy, obsession and the dangers lurking beneath the surface of American adolescence. The main cast includes Igby Rigney, Homer Gere, Graham Campbell, Kaia Gerber and Hayes Warner as well as Evan Rachel Wood and Wes Bentley.

August 6 – The third season premiere of My Life With the Walter Boys will air online on Netflix today

August 6 – The new Passionflix movie Come Away With Me will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Being confronted on the beach by a sexy stranger wasn’t part of Natalie Conner’s (Natalie Pelletier) plans for a peaceful morning taking photos. She doesn’t know the handsome man, and doesn’t particularly care who he is. Natalie just wants to do her job and enjoy her quiet life in Seattle Luke Williams (Jake B. Miller) just wants the world to give him a break. A star since childhood, Luke has traded the limelight for his own slice of privacy. But when he discovers Natalie has no idea who he is, he’s intrigued and more than a little tempted by her. Natalie has a body made for sex, a sassy mouth and Luke can’t get enough of her, but he’s not ready to tell her who he really is. He’s enjoying her too much to have it ruined by the realities of his life. But Natalie is a no nonsense girl who doesn’t do well with lies and secrets.

August 6 – The 8th season of the Canadian hit series Hudson & Rex will premiere on UPtv at 8 PM

August 7 – The series finale of Power Book III: Raising Kanan will air at 8 PM on Starz

August 7 – The finale of Sugar will air online on Apple TV today

August 7 – The new USA Network drama Anna Pigeon will debut at 10 PM

Show Synopsis: The series follows Anna Pigeon (Tracy Spiridakos), a former city slicker who became a park ranger after a devastating loss changed the trajectory of her life forever. While Anna tries to outrun her demons, her focus turns to solving crimes that have taken place within national park grounds, no matter who or what gets in her way. The cast includes Tricia Helfer, Melanie Scrofano, Kim Coates and Ronnie Rowe.

August 7 – The box office movie You, Me & Tuscany will make its linear debut on Peacock today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When a woman (Halle Bailey) crashes at an empty Italian villa, posing as the owner’s fiancée, she discovers an unexpected romance that could transform her life. Rege-Jean Page also stars.

August 8 – The Hallmark Channel movie Absolutely Devoted to You will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: An ambitious TV producer devises a brilliant plan to reunite a 90’s boy band for an annual summer beach bash, but her idea is derailed when she falls for the band’s reluctant lead singer. The movie stars Kimberley Sustad and Jesse Metcalfe.

August 9 – The season finale of House of the Dragon will air on HBO at 9 PM

August 12 – The first three episodes of the 4th season of Reacher will premiere online on Amazon Prime today

August 13 – The linear TV debut of the new series Blue Skies will air on UPtv at 9 PM

Show Synopsis: National Park Investigator Jodi Larsen(Scarlet Hunter) and a lost dog named Blue team up to solve mysteries in the wilderness, forging an unexpected bond amidst danger and healing. The cast includes Markian Tarasiuk, David Lennon, Veronica Long, Shaughnessy Redden and Miranda Edwards.

August 13 – The season finale of the new drama Gone will air online on Britbox today

August 13 – The new period piece drama My Brilliant Career will debut online today on Netflix

Show Synopsis: Modern, rebellious Sybylla (Philippa Northeast) dreams only of writing. Choosing an exciting career over a safe marriage is easy — until she falls in love unexpectedly. The cast includes Christopher Chung, Genevieve O’Reilly and Anna Chancellor.

August 15 – The new Netflix movie Don’t Say Good Luck will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Sophie (Sunny Sandler) is a theater kid preparing for her leading role in her high school musical of Waitress, when suddenly family drama overtakes the drama on stage. The cast includes Melanie Lynskey, Max Greenfield, Stephanie Beatriz, Bebe Neuwirth, Steve Buscemi and Jon Lovitz.

August 15 – The Hallmark Channel movie Aussie at Heart will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Samara, a former lawyer now an event planner, reunites with Nate, her ex‑coworker and rival, to plan a couple’s anniversary in Queensland and begin to confront their past and fall for each other. The movie stars Rhiannon Fish and Daniel Lissing.

August 16 – The new superhero series Lanterns will debut on HBO at 9 PM and will also debut online on HBO Max

Show Synopsis: New recruit John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) and Lantern legend Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler), two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, Earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland. The ensemble cast includes Nathan Fillion, Laura Linney, Kelly Macdonald, Ulrich Thomsen, Garret Dillahunt, Jason Ritter, Poorna Jagannathan and Nicole Ari Parker.

August 19 – The season finale of Lucky will air online on Apple TV

August 20 – The 5th and final season of Outer Banks will premiere online on Netflix today

August 22 – The Hallmark Channel movie Love Finds You will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A mislabeled package convinces jewelry designer Alex she’s found her ideal man, sending her and delivery driver Jack on a citywide search that helps them discover what they truly want. The movie stars Aimeé Teegarden and Chris McNally.

August 23 – The finale of the MGM+ drama The Westies will air at 9 PM

August 23 – The special presentation Anne Rice’s Interview With the Vampire: The Vampire Lestat: One Night Only Live will air online on AMC+

Special Presentation Synopsis: This live promotional event was held on June 2, 2026 at the Beacon Theater in New York City. It will include an approximately 30-minute-long performance of songs from the season by cast member Sam Reid, in character as Lestat and composer and songwriter Daniel Hart.

August 26 – The Amazon Prime movie The Last Sunrise will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A young American woman with health challenges finds unexpected romance with a charismatic local during her summer in Majorca, forcing her to weigh her heart’s desires against family obligations and her planned return home. The movie stars Maia Reficco, Sabrina Bartlett, Fernando Lindez and Eva Longoria.

August 27 – The finale of the Hallmark+ drama Paris Is Always a Good Idea will air online today

August 28 – The Netflix movie The Whisper Man will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A grieving father and his young son relocate to the quiet town of Featherbank, which was terrorized by a serial killer known as The Whisper Man 15 years earlier, while rumors circulated that Whisper Man worked with an accomplice. The movie stars Hamish Linklater, Robert De Niro, Michelle Monaghan, Adam Scott and Michael Keaton.

August 28 – The season finale of Dark Matter will air online on Apple TV

August 29 – The Hallmark Channel movie Much About Love will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A TV director returns to her theater roots for a Shakespeare festival and runs into an old flame, rekindling a merry war of wits in this modern retelling of “Much Ado About Nothing.” The movie stars Ashley Williams and Niall Matter.

August 31 – The finale of the new Hulu thriller drama Furious will air online today
