They Deserve Their Own Show (Part 26)
Here is the next installment of actors and actresses who are under-appreciated, deserving of more attention or perhaps even their own show:
Alicia Coppola made guest appearances in such shows as Another World, NYPD Blue, Star Trek: Voyager, New York Undercover, Touched By An Angel, The Sentinel, Profiler (among many others). She was in several episodes of American Dreams, Crossing Jordan and NCIS. Her most notable role was in Jericho. She was in the theatrical movie National Treasure: Book of Secrets and the made-for-TV movies Framed and Black Widow. And, she made a guest appearance in the season finale of the Lifetime series Drop Dead Diva and she just appeared in an episode of Lie to Me.
Missy Crider – One of Missy’s first appearances was in the TV mini-series Lonesome Dove then she appeared in the made-for-TV movie Peter Benchley’s The Beast and appeared in the box office movie Powder. She was then cast in both short-lived series Murder One and The Others before making guest appearances in The Guardian, CSI: Miami, Huff, 24 and Without A Trace. Some of her movie work includes Gigli and Reeseville. She appeared in the made-for-TV movie Out of the Woods and in the 2008 movie Blossom with Dee Wallace, Phil Morris and John Savage and she was recently seen in an episode of 90210.
Lucy (Kate) Hale – Lucy has been seen in The O.C., How I Met Your Mother, and Wizards of Waverly Place. Her most recognizable roles have been in the short-lived shows The Bionic Woman and Privileged. She was in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 and was recently seen in the Lifetime movie The Sorority Wars. She appeared in the movie Deep Cove (aka Fear Island) with Aaron Ashmore, Haylie Duff and Kyle Schmid, the short-live ABC Family Channel series Ruby & the Rockits, guest starred in a recent episode of Private Practice and is filming the pilot of Pretty Little Liars for ABC Family.
Tim Guinee – Tim has a very long resume, dating back to 1986 when he appeared in an episode of Spencer: For Hire. Since that time he has appeared in countless series, including Wiseguy, L.A. Law, The Outer Limits, Law & Order, The Practice, Karen Cisco, Tarzan (the WB series), CSI: Miami, CSI, CSI: NY, Medium, Friday Night Lights, Stargate: SG-1, Ghost Whisperer, Without A Trace, NCIS, Smallville, Eli Stone, Saving Grace and Life. He appeared as Kellie Williams’ husband on Lie to Me and on last season’s 24. His movie roles include Iron Man, Synecdoche, New York, Courage Under Fire and How to Make an American Quilt. He has also appeared in the direct-to-DVD release Stargate: The Ark of Truth and the made-for-TV movie Elvis (with Jonathan Rhys Meyers). He has two current projects – The Pardon and Buddy Gilbert Comes Alive. Most recently he appeared in episodes of Trauma and Three Rivers and he will appear in the box office movie Iron Man 2.
Edward Kerr – Edward got his first big break in the made-for-TV movie Secrets of Lake Success (alongside Liz Vassey and a then unknown Ryan Phillippe) and then got a role in the series SeaQuest DSV. From there he moved on to leading roles in the short lived series Snoops and Three Sisters. He had a recurring role in What I Like About You and made guest appearances in shows such as Monk, CSI: Miami, House, Close to Home, CSI: NY, Men In Trees, Without A Trace and Lipstick Jungle. His movie work includes The Astronaut’s Wife. He also just appeared in an episode of The Forgotten.
Tom Lenk – Tom is probably best known for his recurring role in Buffy, the Vampire Slayer but he also appeared in episodes of Popular, Judging Amy, Angel, Six Feet Under, Joey, House, How I Met Your Mother, Samantha Who?, Trust Me and Nip/Tuck. His movie roles include The Number 23, Transformers, and Boogeyman 2. He will be seen in the upcoming movies The Cabin in the Woods, My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend and The Reapers.
