One of the few OG cast members left on GREY’S ANATOMY, Wilson often doesn’t receive the recognition that she deserves over the past 16 seasons of the show. This week though, she reminded us of the powerful performer that she is. During Thursday night’s STATION 19 and GREY’S ANATOMY crossover, Bailey was dealing with miscarrying earlier that day and then her husband and staff members trapped inside Joe’s Bar after a car ploughed into it. She did her best to stay strong while she waited on news and then kept her focus once everyone was out and taken to the hospital. It was only after she had finished surgery on one of her surgical residents, Taryn Helm, that she allowed the events of the past 24 hours catch up to her and let herself fall apart in front of former colleague and mentor, Dr Richard Weber. Wilson did not hold back as she let out Bailey’s pain from losing her unborn daughter. From the tears to the rawness of her voice as she expressed her anguish had viewers feeling her pain too.
