Women of the Week

With more TV shows returning for the fall, there were more contenders for our Women of the Week picks this week. Who impressed the Nice Girls? Read on to find out!

Nominated by Leah: Cobie Smulders as Dex Parios on Stumptown

I’m going with Cobie Smulders as Dex from Stumptown. Dex is ex Military who is clearly dealing with some PTSS, raising a special needs younger sibling and trying to make ends meet as a budding PI. It’s not that I didn’t think Cobie had the character in her, “Hello Avengers!” but she really shines in Stumptown as a woman who is both badass and broken.

Nominated by Lisa: Ruby Rose as Kate Kane/Batwoman on Batwoman

I’d like to nominate Ruby Rose for her strong performance as Kate Kane/Batwoman in the pilot episode of Batwoman. I love that her character is unapologetically herself. She is strong, independent and she kicks ass! I can’t wait to see what she does suited up as Batwoman.
