Salute to Rising Stars
It’s that time again to salute those actresses who are on the move, actresses who deserve a little extra attention for their latest work, those actresses who are rising stars. Landing that crucial role in a TV movie or guest appearance in a successful show or film makes all the difference for aspiring actors.
Let’s take a look at the next two actresses who viewers should keep their eye on:
Jocelyn HudonJocelyn is a Canadian actress, who was a ballerina at the National Ballet School of Canada until she was 17 years old. She always had a love of acting, landing her first role in the Adam Sandler box office flick Pixels in 2015.
She appeared in the 2015 Halloween episode of Good Witch and in the Syfy dramas Lost Girl and Incorporated. She has also appeared in episodes of The Strain on FX and The Order on Netflix. She also put her dancing backgrond to work appearing in an episode of Frankie Drake Mysteries and the recently cancelled summer series Ransom.
Jocelyn has appeared in several Hallmark Channel movies over the last few years, including Love Locks, The Christmas Cure and From Friend to Fiance. She also appeared in the popular family drama When Calls the Heart as Grace Bennett; and can now be seen playing that role in the spin-off series When Hope Calls that will air its season finale on Hallmark Movies Now on October 24.
Jocelyn used to teach rock climbing, and loves to bake; and has said that if she weren’t an actor, she would be a Soul Cycle instructor.

Kristine FrosethKristine was born in New Jersey to Norwegian parents, growing up in both Norway and New Jersey. She was scouted as a mall fashion show in Norway, ending up modeling for Prada, Armani, MiuMiu, Chloe and Chanel. She got her start in acting in the 2017 film Rebel in the Rye with Nicholas Hoult.
Last year she appeared in the Netflix movie Sierra Burgess Is a Loser, alongside Stranger Things alum Shannon Purser and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before alum Noah Centineo. Earlier this year she appeared in the much-buzzed about sci-fi mystery series The Society that aired on Netflix.
She will play the title role in the Hulu drama Looking for Alaska, which will debut next Friday, October 18.
