VIDEO! Vikings’ Alexander Ludwig Throws Axes & Teases Final Season!

By  |

Although Vikings didn’t have a panel at Comic-Con this year, History brought an awesome ax-throwing activation where fans could learn to throw an ax like a Viking. Cast members Alexander Ludwig and Katheryn Winnick stopped by on Saturday greet fans and you know we never miss a chance to hang with the Vikings and this year was no exception. Check out the video below as Alexander Ludwig teaches me to throw axes like a pro while sharing his thoughts on the show’s final season!

Aside from learning Alexander is an excellent instructor, I also got a few hints on what we can expect in season six. In honor of The Seer, I wanted to know if there is anything Alex would like to know from the cryptic fortune teller in real life. Alex’s answer was near and dear to the hearts of all fans as they contemplate the series ending: “I would like to know if there is going to be a spin-off series.”

“A lot of favorites are going to die.”

Regarding what fans can expect in season six, Alex revealed he was proud of the final season in its entirety and is grateful for the fans’ support. “A lot of favorites are going to die,” he said. “But I do think it will end the way the fans hope. It’s a really good ending.” Alex said working on Vikings has been “the greatest experience of my life. It’s been an honor to be a part of the show. I think we have the greatest fans in the world. It has been an incredible experience.”

While a release date for the show has not been announced, if the series follows its usual schedule, we can expect a premiere sometime in November 2019.
