Nominated by Nicole: Why? – It’s always fun watching Liv personify the brains she’s recently consumed, but Liv steaming up the screen on erotica brain was beyond hilarious. Best line of the episode: “I roofied you with horny librarian brain.” Sounds like a drug I’d like to be on!
Vanessa Hudgens as Rizzo in Grease Live
Nominated by Ange: Hands down, Vanessa was the standout in Grease Live, the perfect combination of tough, snarky and a subtle hint of vulnerability. She has come a long way since her High School Musical days and totally nailed her “There are Worse Things I Could Do” performance. Then to go on and perform so soon after her father’s passing was admirable. Even without the personal tragedy, I have no doubt that she would have still given the stand-out performance that she did that night.
Jennifer Lopez as Harlee Santos on Shades of Blue
Nominated by my daughter: We were watching Shades of Blue (congrats on their second season pick up) and the conversation went something like this…
“Do you know Jennifer Lopez started out as a dancer?”
“Yes – In Living Color.”
“But then she had a whole music career. She had good songs.”
“Yes – I own those early CD’s”
“Now she acts, and I believe she is a conflicted cop.”
“Me too baby, me too.”
