The cast of tomorrow night’s UP Channel movie Love Finds You In Charm, including Drew Fuller, Danielle Chuchran, Tiffany Dupont and Trevor Donovan, shared the following exclusive interview with NiceGirlsTV:

Drew Fuller

What characteristic do you admire the most about your character?

Drew: That’s a tough one to answer since Andy didn’t have many admirable qualities. But if I have to single in on something it would be his passion for travel and food. I think he is his most honest when talking about the food he’s eaten and the places he’s been so fortunate enough to experience.

Danielle: I absolutely love the amount of strength Emma portrays throughout the story. She has the strength and courage to follow her heart and do what she knows is best for her, even though her decisions could possibly change her whole world. I truly admire the strength she has to stay true to herself through trials and the strength she has within herself to follow the path that she’s always dreamt of.

Tiffany: I like Kelly. She’s easy going and fun and I really enjoyed creating some comedy with her. I also love when girls are FOR girls- no competition and nothing but encouragement. Kelly immediately embraces Emma and loves on her like a best friend she’s had her whole life. Dani and I were instant friends off camera as well- so it was easy to replicate for our characters. I moved a lot growing up so I know how tough it can be to make friends when you’re new. Finding a kindred spirit like that is so invaluable in life. It’s a rare and special gift when you’re lucky enough to come across one.

Trevor: What I like most about Noah is his emotional intelligence. He made a decision to stay in the Amish community after going out experiencing the outside world.

Danielle Chuchran

What drew you most to this project?

Drew: Honestly it was the people involved. I had met Terry (the director) through mutual friends and really loved his passion and ideas about the project. I felt he had a clear vision of who the characters were and where the story needed to go for the audience to buy the dilemma that was weighing down Emma Miller (Dani)

Danielle: I loved that the story was about a young woman who is struggling to accept that she is different from the norm that surrounds her, and chose to be different. She overcame the fear of pleasing everyone else and when she chose to focus on her desires and dreams she found a life that was far better than one should could ever imagine. I loved that the story had a character for every person to relate to. They were all going through struggles and trials that many of us go through on a daily basis, which made it so easy to connect with the characters and immerse yourself in the story.

Tiffany: I worked with the producers on another film and had a blast. If you’re going to be subject to spending three weeks in the middle of nowhere in Ohio, better to do it with good people you enjoy being around. Also the incredible cast, everyone was wonderful. I especially feel in love with Miss Dani and Trevor, we were a little family the whole shoot!

Trevor: I was drawn to the wholesome love story. The script was fantastic, and the director Terry Cunningham has an amazing ability to create visually stunning pieces of work. I was really eager to work with him.

Were you familiar with the novel on which the movie was based prior to getting the script?

Drew: Not at all… I had no idea that there was such a cult following to this series of “Love finds you…” books

Danielle: I was not actually, but it was so wonderful having Annalisa Daughety, the writer, on set. She was great with being able to help me get inside Emma’s head and being there to help fill in any back story that was needed in order to bring the story to life.

Tiffany: I was not familiar with the novel prior to shooting the film. Can’t say I get a lot of Amish fiction in these days. When we were filming the library scene, Dani and I discovered there is quite the selection of Amish novels (just in case I ever change my mind).

Trevor: I wasn’t familiar with the novel prior to getting script.

Tiffany Dupont

Can you talk about any particular scene that was more difficult than others to film?

Drew: Probably the firework scene… for a few reasons. It was freezing outside and Terry had convinced me the jacket I had been wearing throughout the film was getting too much screen time and could potentially be distracting. To this day I disagree. So no jacket, and no real fireworks, just light going off in our faces and “acting” amazed, like this was the most magical thing we’ve ever seen. Then getting smacked by Dani multiple times (the girl has fire, and I said go for it, so…) But I wouldn’t trade that night or any experiences I had on the film for anything. Great people, great times

Danielle: Thankfully there weren’t many difficult scenes to film. The shoot was terrific thanks to a killer crew. I’d have to say the hardest part about some of the scenes we filmed was trying not to show that we were so cold. There were times where I had to try so hard to keep my lip from quivering and sit still long enough to get my line out.

Tiffany: There weren’t any scenes that were especially tough on this film. If I had to pick one, possibly the scene when Kelly’s ex-boyfriend shows up and gets a bit violent. It was cold and took quite a while to shoot. Generally speaking though, I’d say we had a great time pretty much every day. It’s nice to be on a project that you can just relax and enjoy.

Trevor: We shot the end scene when Emma decides to stay in the middle the night and it was freezing. Danielle and I, well our noses were running a little bit, and when we went in for the kiss at the end, we swapped snot.

Trevor Donovan

Any funny behind the scenes moments for which you can discuss?

Drew: None that I’m willing to share in email form or other. All I can say is Mennonite skinny dipping. Just kidding, or am I?

Danielle: There were so many hilarious moments that literally have me laughing to this day when I think about them. We had the plethora of exotic animals, yes exotic…. lemurs, camels, zebras, horses, peacocks, TONS of goats and they would love to make sure that they were heard especially during a scene. We would be in the middle of an intimate dialogue scene and you would hear these ridiculous animal noises coming from all over and it was so hard not to laugh.  Or there was a the time that Trevor and I were doing a scene where he had to say “Secret Ingredient” and with a very serious face due to the tone of the scene accidentally said “Secwet Ingwedient”. That about did me in for a good half hour of using all my will power not to start laughing every time I knew that line was coming up because it was so funny to hear him say that. His contact name in my phone is Secwet Ingwedient (ha!) Those are just two that stick out in my head at the moment, it was such an incredibly fun set and I laughed EVERY day. I can’t begin to say how much fun this film was to be a part of.

Tiffany: I’d have to say watching Trevor run around after the goats in his tight “amish pants” was pretty hysterical.

Trevor: I think that (the funniest moment) would have to be when Danielle and I swapped snot during the kiss.
