THE FLASH: Candice Patton talks about the new fall series {Video}

By  |

For the uninitiated, The Flash is another entry into the DC Comics world by the CW Network. The series chronicles the adventures of Barry Allen (Grant Gustin, best known for his role on Glee), a unassuming, adorkable forensic investigator whose life changes forever when an industrial accident makes him the fastest creature on Earth.

The Flash shares the same time period and world as Arrow and is set a few hundred miles away from Starling City, in Central City. Barry’s character (pre-accident) was introduced on Arrow last season when he came to Starling city and hit it off with the Arrow’s right hand gal, Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards). There’s more Arrow-Flash intersections to come as the creators of both shows have promised us multiple character crossovers in the upcoming season, as well as a two-episode mega-crossover in the first half of the season.

The Flash pilot was screened multiple times at San Diego Comic Con, including at the big Warner Bros/DC Saturday Night Extravaganza. It has a great cast and a good story line so far, so I’ve already planned to make it a part of my fall viewing schedule.

We got to talk to many of the cast members in the press room at Comic Con and are excited to share what we learned with you.

The videos aren’t the greatest quality – the room was loud and not that bright – but you should be able to get the gist. Here’s our conversation with Candice Patton (Iris West):

The Flash premieres on Tuesday, October 7, at 8/7c on the CW.

Cay's family thinks her obsession with pop culture is "not normal". Normal is boring!
