COMIC CON: Warner Bros/DC Comics Extravaganza [WATCH]

By  |

In addition to separate panels for Arrow, The Flash, and Constantine, Warner Bros and DC Comics teamed up to provide a thrilling night of entertainment on Saturday night in Hall H. From 8p-12a, fans were treated to popcorn, t-shirts, and a very entertaining evening of multimedia entertainment, emceed by Stephen Amell, and featuring the entire cast of Arrow and The Flash as well as some of the main cast members from Gotham and Constantine in one giant mega panel.

**Caution: Potential Spoilers**

They replayed the Arrow season 3 preview (with the added reveal of this year’s Big Bad, Ra’s al Ghul, which was left out of the Friday version) and The Flash pilot, and we got to see the world premiere of Gotham, and at the end of the night after the panel, the Constantine pilot.

Highlights for me included (sorry, Arrow-heavy, because they pretty much stole the show):

  • The adorable kids from Gotham – we got to see the young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) and Catwoman (Camren Bicondova), up way past their respective bed times
  • Stephen Amell’s abs – on the request of a fan and with goading from the panel, Amell finally lifted his shirt and gave us all a good look at his signature abs (hey, if you got ’em, flaunt ’em!)
  • A hilarious Felicity-like moment when Emily Bett Rickards fielded a question about whether Felicity would end up with Barry (The Flash) or Oliver (The Arrow) by suggesting that “what about Ray Palmer (to be played by Brandon Routh)?…*he* is a man”…and then seemed to fumble awkwardly while trying to compare Barry and Oliver (with Stephen and Grant sitting right next to each other in front of her). She then admitted that she was digging herself in deeper and that she was just like Felicity sometimes.
  • John Barrowman seemed to be having the time of his life, goofing off with Willa Holland and just generally bouncing off the walls
  • “The mystery of how the salmon ladder bar gets back down will never be answered” – Stephen Amell, in response to the question from an audience member
  • The revelation that [the very handsome] Matt Ryan (Constantine) looked like a Sasquatch for his audition tape for Constantine

Here’s a link to the full mega panel if you want to watch it for yourself. Also stay tuned for our video interviews from the press rooms for Arrow and The Flash.
