HART OF DIXIE: A Good Run of Bad Luck
Life is never dull in Bluebell, let’s be clear. This week seems light on the gossip in the town and heavy on the “trouble in relationships” department.
Weird Medical Case of the Week: One of Brick’s clients, Mr. Polk, has been in the office every other day for weeks and Annabeth thinks that he’s being a hypochondriac or crazy. To the point where Brick suggests Polk go to Mobile for tests, the patient fails to show. Annabeth goes to his house to try and get him to go, but ends up with tea on the patio. Were all of his visits to talk to Annabeth? Called it! He was making it all up to ask Annabeth out on a date. Turns out he was the knight that won her hand at the Renaissance Faire.
Brick knew why Polk was making all the appointments, but it reveals that Annabeth doesn’t know if she’s in the right place to meet anyone after Levan. Annabeth later goes over to set up a date with Polk, only to find out that his uncle is the Mayor of Filmore. This relationship won’t last long, it seems.
Relationship Drama: That random return to the George and Lemon train will not work well for anyone, especially with one really awkward moment. Too bad that George and Lemon both tell Zoe and Levan about the awesome night and that sparks it’s own set of shenanigans. Zoe and Levan should not be matchmakers just so Zoe can get over her bad luck.
One day after Zoe suggests that George and Lemon, her luck turns around. Will it last? Dinner seems to reinforce some of the problems between the two – their stubbornness for one – but they are also falling into easy conversations and trying to be civil. The invitation part of the dinner becomes clear later – when Zoe pushes something over – and now that secret is out of the bag.
After the disaster of Zoe’s attempts to get George and Lemon back together, she really wonders if she ruined everything by not going with Joel to LA or London. Meanwhile, George and Lemon are working at trying to be business partners and for George, specifically, to be a silent partner. All because he can’t seem to get over Lemon.
On another front, Vivian is being really nice to Wade after she hears that her ex-husband is going to be at some Wilkes function that week. Wade’s also giving good advice to Harley to help with a bully. That help wasn’t actually that help – and that is made worse when Vivian’s ex shows up in time for the family barbeque.
Wade and Vivian’s ex get forced together in a Wilkes family game and end up stuck in a trap together. Of course this could give them all the time they need to get over their issues. Or it could lead to a murder. No murder and at the end, there’s an agreement between Wade and Vivian’s ex to at least try to be friends.
