DON’T TRUST THE B–: Shitagi Nashi…

By  |

It’s time for the season finale…and that’s always a sad moment for me.

Of course that’s actually tempered when I start to watch the episode and I’m brought back to June’s high school days where she sounds exactly like me (minus the mascot!)

So much for June has changed since she met Chloe, including June feeling like a cool kid, and ending up in the hospital from alcohol poisoning.

Robin has now told June she can’t drink for the next six months, which will ultimately mean she can’t hang with Chloe anymore.

James and Chloe did pick June up from the hospital and still go drinking at a sushi bar.

Chloe has a graphic novel based around her in Japan! And she’s slutty (it appears) from all the people at the restaurant.

Pastor Jin, I don’t think you need to worry about June’s discretion tonight; I think she’s still in shock from the stomach pump.

James is in the dressing room next to Dean Cain. I think my life is complete for this episode is bringing back an old old crush. Plus, James has some issues with Dean and that’s pretty much on point.

Chloe’s graphic novel is all about her being slutty and not wearing underwear. I wonder about Chloe’s life before.

June now can’t party with Chloe without drinking. That’s just sad to me as the person who was sometimes ignored for not being able to get somewhere.

At the coffee shop, June’s angsting about not being to hang out with the in-crowd now. How much has June changed since meeting Chloe? She’s not really looking for Wall Street job, that is the point.

Chloe does have Shitago Nashi volumes. I think that she’s hidden them under the floor is just a sign of how much she doesn’t want to let other people know. Well, there went June’s copy of her comic from high school. I really hope June didn’t send one to James where she wanted him to teach her Algebra!

Patrick Kelly is Paolo’s roommate. I think that’s just very meta of the show. I really love that Patrick is played by David Krumholtz, who is one of my favorite actors. Mr Universe, you need to stop drawing Chloe and get out into the real world.

James’ effort to redress his room to get Dean’s room away from him is adorable. I’m sort of impressed that Dean didn’t fall for it. But James, please don’t fire Luther. I’m not sure I like that Luther left to go work for the Mowry sister.

Tall Slut, No Panties is killed by the version of June that Patrick created. I would feel bad for Chloe, but I think June needs the affirmation that she’s good enough. Chloe going to do boring things, like bowling, and wearing underwear to go out. As the “It Girl” Chloe had a sense of purpose, but where is that now if June has the comic now?

James, I think that realization would have been better served to think of you and Luther than Chloe and June. But Luther is important enough for James to break through part of Fred Savage’s room.

Did Chloe just agree to hang out with June without booze? Is this a new step in her evolution? Oh wait, there wasn’t any evolution and that hang out time was exactly as I’d have expected, with Chloe drunk.
