SUBURGATORY: Big Changes Coming to Chatswin

By  |

Tonight Suburgatory kicks off its final run of episodes this season with “Hear No Evil”, and there are some pretty big changes coming to the quirky residents of Chatswin.

Tessa’s job at A Crystal Cup of Crystals turns out to be a good fit for her borderline Machiavellian intelligence, and Dallas gives her a promotion, a new uniform, and quite possibly the coolest business cards ever. Spending all that time with Dallas is having an affect on Tessa, however, and George isn’t sure he approves. His Fellini-loving, flannel-wearing daughter is suddenly covered in crystals and enjoying at-home manicures.

At the opposite end of the spectrum is Eden (Alicia Silverstone), the sweet Earth Mother surrogate for Noah and Jill. It’s kind of awesome that the “neo Hippie” character is the most rational of the bunch. George hopes that she’ll have a countering influence on Tessa, but in order to have a real relationship with Eden, George has to navigate Noah’s neuroses. One of the great joys of this show is the George-Noah friendship. Watching Alan Tudyk go from smug to befuddled to apoplectic in a single scene while Jeremy Sisto watches in bemusement with a hint of panic is pure delight.  When George makes an important decision in his romance with Eden, it impacts his friendship with Noah and his relationship with Tessa in a storyline that should be campy but somehow seems completely plausible.

While George, Tessa, and Noah struggle with changes happening in their lives, Lisa stumbles across a potentially life-changing secret of her own. Will answers to her questions finally make give her a sense of belonging? Tune in to Suburgatory tonight at 8/7c on ABC to find out!
