I HATE MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER: Photo Stills from the Premiere

Fox rolls out another sitcom, and for anyone out there with teen daughters, this one is a must watch. I have a 15 year-old daughter and I can totally relate to Annie and Nikki. I Hate My Teenage Daughter is about two BFFs, each single and each raising a teen. Moving in together and sharing the parenting seems like  a good way to support each other, but Annie and Nikki have raised mean girls and they are running the home.

Sophie and Mackenzie, who are also best friends,  have been over-indulged by their mother’s who themselves, were the unpopular girls in school during their teen years. The moms are living vicariously through Sophie and Mackenzie, until the girls go too far with their cruel antics. Annie and Nikki realize that they’ve made a big mistake with the girls and decide it’s time to make some changes, if only they knew where to begin.

IHMTD promises a half-hour full of laughs and likely much eyeball-rolling as Nikki and Annie stumble their way through parenthood, with the unhelpful aid of Annie’s ex, Matt, his brother, Jack and Nikki’s ex, Gary.

The show stars Jaime Pressly as “Annie”, Katie Finneran as “Nikki”, Kristi Lauren as “Sophie”, Aisha Dee as “Mackenzie”, Eric Sheffer Stevens as “Matt”, Kevin Rahm as “Jack”, and Chad Coleman as “Gary”. Watch the premiere tonight at 9:30/8:30c, on Fox.
