USA Puts Sting in White Collar Return Episode
White Collar returns to USA on January 18, with an all new episode titled “Burke’s Seven”. I had the opportunity to preview this episode and believe me, you won’t want to miss this. The entire cast has their own spotlight to open the second half of this season. The official, USA Network synopsis reads as follows:
When Peter is suspended by the FBI for a crime he didn’t commit, he is forced to run a sting with Neal and the gang to catch Mozzie’s shooter, and clear his name. Check out “Burke’s Seven” guest-starring Paul Blackthorn and Hilarie Burton.
I love this show as it has been, so far, but I really hope there are more episodes like this one. SPOILERS AHEAD!
The fun really begins when Neal decides he wants to catch Mozzie’s shooter Peter’s way – by the book. You know you really can’t trust that. Neal will always work Neal’s way, but it was fun to see the look of hope on Peter’s face. Ah, poor Peter!
Everything goes south, however, when Peter is actually framed for the shooting and he is relieved of badge and gun. This sends him to Neal for help. It was truly a dream come true. The Sting operation is drawn up, but they need Mozzie.
Mozzie is having issues of his own. It takes Elizabeth to bring him around and snap him out of his funk. I love this woman! She has such a wonderful way of giving people a different perspective without letting them know she’s doing it.
So we have Neal, Peter, Mozzie, Diana, Agent Clinton Jones (yes, he comes out of the van!), newcomer Sara Ellis (Hilarie Burton) and Elizabeth. Yes! Elizabeth has a part in this group. I’m so excited about that because I always knew she could do this. This makes up “Burke’s Seven”.
Elizabeth comes into the fold in an unexpected and marvelous way, and I can’t wait for you all to see it. Sara Ellis is the perfect match for Neal, and I don’t mean as a couple, although I hope that happens. Her connections are a great aid once again to the group and we don’t know everything about her, which is very interesting. She adds another layer to the show.
Diana and Peter finally get Clinton out of the van and what a relief! His performance in the sting operation doesn’t disappoint and you will love watching it. Throw bad guy, played by Paul Blackthorne, and you’ve got yourself one hell of a story.
This episodes fires on all cylinders. The writing, the action, the twists and turns, the music – everything put together makes this episode five out of five stars for me. I hope you will agree.
White Collar returns Tuesday, January 18 at a new start time of 10/9C! Be sure to keep up with Burke’s Seven on Facebook and Twitter as well.
