Nice Girls Preview “White Collar”

I already knew I was going to add USA’s White Collar to my fall TV viewing list even before I screened the pilot. There was no way I was not going to watch Matt Bomer in anything. I already had the pleasure of seeing him as Bryce Larkin on Chuck. When I heard that he was going to be starring in his own series, I felt the planets aligning.

White Collar shows us what can happen when you pair an expert thief and an expert at catching him. The pilot will, of course, give us the events leading up to Neal Caffey’s (Bomer) partnering with Peter Burke (Tim DeKay). Although Peter is the FBI agent who finally caught Neal, and knows all his tricks, Neal can still pull some out of his hat.

There were many things I liked about this pilot. It was fun and had a great mystery, with Mark Sheppard playing the villain, which he does so well. Tiffani Thiessen is adorable as Peter’s wife, Elizabeth. Peter is aided by Diana Lansing, played by Marsha Thomason, who is not swayed by Neal’s charming smile. I like her character and I hope she stays with the show. The three make a great team. Watch for Neal’s delightful homage to Frank Sinatra.

White Collar has action, mystery, humor, and Matt Bomer. What’s not to love? Premiering Oct. 23rd on USA, you can be sure that we will be watching and talking about it here on NiceGirlsTV. Don’t be surprised if USA has another hit series on their hands.
