The following list provides the dates of the returning cable and major network dramas as well as new cable and major network dramas, made-for-TV movies and mini-series that will air during November:
November 1 – The Librarians will return for its two-hour second season premiere on TNT at 8 PM
November 1 – The Hallmark Channel movie Tis the Season for Love will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Beth Baker (Sarah Lancaster from Chuck) is an out-of-work actress stuck in New York City without her friends at Christmas time. She decides to return home to the quaint small town she escaped 10 years before and finds a place far different than the hamlet she left. She suddenly finds performing possibilities and even romance that kind of blow her away. Will the holidays prove to be as magical for Beth as they appear, or is it doomed to disappear as quickly as it arrived for a lady who is ready to take chances she could never have imagined a decade before. Then again, this is the kind of thing that seems to happen during the Christmas season all the time. The film also stars Brendan Penny (Motive).
November 2 – Major Crimes will be back for the rest of its current season on TNT at 9 PM and Legends will return for its second season premiere at 10 PM
November 5 – Elementary will air its season premiere on CBS at 10 PM
November 7 – The new Hallmark Channel movie Ice Sculpture Christmas will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: After starting her first job at a country club restaurant, Callie – an aspiring chef – reconnects with her childhood friend David, whose wealthy family is a member of the club. When David enters Callie into the club’s annual Christmas ice sculpting competition without her knowledge, she’s forced to go head-to-head with her boss, Chef Gloria. Even though ice sculpting is cold work, sparks are ignited between Callie and David as they prepare for the competition as a team. Callie’s passions for cooking and ice sculpting are met with romance and Christmas spirit as she works to create the perfect sculpture. The cast include Rachel Boston (Witches of East End), Brenda Strong (Desperate Housewives) and David Alpay (The Vampire Diaries).
November 8 – The new Hallmark Channel movie Charming Christmas will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Meredith Rossman (Julie Benz from Defiance) is the uptight heiress of Rossman’s Department store. She has made the business her entire life, not leaving any time for Christmas or romance, much to the chagrin of her parents. But when she is roped into donning the store’s antique Mrs. Claus outfit to play Mrs. Claus at Rossman’s famous Santaville, her life takes some unexpected turns. Through the help of the suit and the charming store Santa, Nick (David Sutcliffe from Cracked and Proof), Meredith rekindles her love of Christmas, the store, their employees and possibly even begins a new love with Nick. He is mysterious, great with children and always there when you need him. Just like the real Santa….wait…could he be? One thing is certain: from the moment Meredith put on the magical Mrs. Claus dress, her life would never be the same.
November 8 – The 8-part limited series Flesh and Bone will debut on Starz at 8 PM
Show Synopsis: The series follows a young dancer named Claire (Sarah Hay from Black Swan), an emotionally wounded but transcendent ballerina navigating the dysfunction and glamour of the ballet world.
November 8 – The new TNT drama Agent X will air its two-hour series debut at 9 PM
Show Synopsis: In times of extreme crisis, when traditional law and government aren’t in a position to help, there is an unseen hand that works to protect this country and its citizens from all manner of threats by any means necessary. Hidden from the view of the public – and even from the President – there is a top secret agent, Agent X (Jeff Hephner from Boss and Chicago Fire) who is trained and ready to serve, deployed only at the careful discretion of the Vice President (film star Sharon Stone).
November 8 – The PBS mini-series Home Fires will air its season finale at 8 PM
November 14 – The Hallmark Channel movie I’m Not Ready for Christmas will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Holly (Alicia Witt) finds her world turned upside-down when she suddenly finds herself incapable of lying. (Don’t you hate when that happens?) It’s because of a wish her niece made to Santa Claus. And now, with Christmas coming up fast, she has to come to terms with her natural penchant to want to fib while trying to do the right thing. And that’s no lie. The cast includes George Stults (7th Heaven), Brigid Brannagh (Army Wives), Dan Lauria (Wonder Years) and Maxwell Caulfield (Empire Records and Grease 2).
November 15 – The new AMC six-part martial-arts drama Into the Badlands will debut at 10 PM
Show Synopsis: The series tells the story of a ruthless, well-trained warrior named Sunny (Daniel Wu) and a young boy named M.K. (Aramis Knight) who embark on a spiritual journey across a dangerous land.
November 15 – The Royals is back for a second season on E! at 10 PM
November 15 – The Hallmark Channel movie Christmas Incorporated will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Riley is on the job hunt weeks before Christmas when she miraculously lands an assistant position with a wealthy entrepreneur. He’s a headstrong socialite who is being forced to play Scrooge and close one of his factories just weeks before Christmas. Riley, always up for a challenge, convinces him to visit the town and hatches a plan to keep the factory afloat. Stars Shenae Grimes-Beech (90210) and Steve Lund (Bitten).
November 15 – Once Upon a Time will air a two-hour episode on ABC
November 15 – The original UP Channel movie A Dogwalker’s Christmas Tale will debut at 7 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When spoiled, 21-year old college student Luce Lockhart is forced to take a job over the holidays walking a rich developer’s dog, she is thrilled to discover they are going to build a salon and spa over the quaint local dog park nearby. But when Luce meets Dean, an irritating yet handsome dog walker actively trying to stop them, Luce is forced to question what the park means to her newfound friends, and whether she can put aside her selfish ways to help save the park before Christmas. The cast includes Dina Meyer (Beverly Hills 90210), Patrick Muldoon (Days of Our Lives) and Jonathan Bennett (Mean Girls).
November 17 – The season finale of The Bastard Executioner will air on FX at 10 PM
November 17 – The new NBC drama Chicago Med will debut at 9 PM
Show Synopsis: The show is about a group of doctor at Chicago Med, who confront the most critical medical cases and challenging ethical dilemmas. The doctors include new attending physician Dr. Connor Rhodes (Colin Donnell from Arrow) Ivy League-trained trauma surgeon Dr. William Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss from Shameless); Chief of Psychiatry Dr. Daniel Charles (Oliver Platt from The Big C); Head of Chicago Med Sharon Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson from Law & Order); Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto from The Vampire Diaries and Pretty Little Liars), who specializes in emergency pediatric medicine; former Navy flight surgeon Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee from Jurassic World); first-year intern Dr. Sarah Resse (Rachel DiPillo from Jane the Virgin) and ER nurse April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta from The Whitney Houston Story).
November 19 – The new scripted drama The Art of More will debut on Crackle
Show Synopsis: The 10-episode series explores the underbelly and surprisingly cutthroat world of premium auction houses filled with hustlers, smugglers, power mongers and collectors of the beautiful and the bizarre. It follows former soldier Graham Connor (Christian Cooke from Magic City and Witches of East End) who gains access to an elite society through his connections with a smuggling ring he encountered during his tour in Iraq. The cast includes Dennis Quaid, Cary Elwes and Kate Bosworth.
November 19 – The fall finale of The Blacklist will air on NBC at 9 PM
November 20 – The Amazon series The Man in the High Castle debuts online
Show Synopsis: The series depicts an alternate history of the world in which the Axis powers won World War II with the United States being divided into three parts: the Japanese Pacific States that encompasses a portion of the West Coast, the Greater Nazi Reich (aka Great Nazi Reich) that encompasses nearly two-thirds of the country and the Rocky Mountain States (aka the Neutral Zone) that encompasses a very small portion of the country in the middle. The online series stars Alexa Davalos (Clash of the Titans), Rupert Evans (Hellboy), Luke Kleintank (Pretty Little Liars), DJ Qualls (Z Nation and Supernatural), Rufus Sewell (A Knight’s Tale) and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (Pearl Harbor and 47 Ronin).
November 20 – The 13 episode debut season of Marvel’s Jessica Jones will debut on Netflix
Show Synopsis: This online series is a suspenseful, edgy look into the life of Jessica Jones, one of the most popular new Marvel characters of the last decade, as she faces demons from within and without. The cast includes Krysten Ritter (Veronica Mars), David Tennant (Doctor Who), Mike Colter (Ringer and The Good Wife), Rachael Taylor (Crisis and 666 Park Avenue), Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix franchise), Erin Moriarty (Red Widow).
November 21 – The Hallmark Channel movie Northpole 2: Open for Christmas will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When Mackenzie Reed (Lori Loughlin from When Calls the Heart) inherits her beloved aunt’s once-majestic hotel, she decides the sensible thing to do is to sell it before Christmas. But fixing up the rundown place while managing the hotel staff (including the handyman and his kids) and dealing with demanding guests is harder than it seems. But she gets some unexpected help as Clementine (Bailey Madison from Good Witch and Once Upon a Time) and a group of Elves arrive on a special mission from Santa, lending their Guilds’ expertise to fixing up the Hotel, and helping Mackenzie re-discover hidden talents and the true meaning of Christmas cheer. The film also stars Dermot Mulroney.
November 21 – The TV One original movie Royal Family Thanksgiving will air at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Soap star Debbi Morgan, Richard Lawson (All My Children), Tichina Arnold (Survivor’s Remorse), Vivica A. Fox (Independence Day) and Romeo Miller (Honey and Madea’s Witness Protection) star in the film that follows the Royal family, whose Thanksgiving is kicked off with a break-up ruse perpetrated by the family patriarchs (Lawson and Morgan) to get their children home for the holidays.
November 22 – The final episode of the PBS mini-series Indian Summers will air at 9 PM
November 22 – The Hallmark Channel movie Merry Matrimony will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Brie (Jessica Lowndes from 90210), an advertising executive, lands her dream assignment organizing the perfect Christmas wedding for a fashion magazine. If she succeeds, she will make partner at her firm. The only catch is that she unknowingly has been paired up with a certain high powered fashion photographer who just happens to be her estranged ex-boyfriend. Christopher Russell (Midnight Masquerade) also stars.
November 22 – The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries original movie Murder She Baked: A Plum Pudding Mystery will debut at 9 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The Cookie Jar’s busiest time of the year also happens to be the most wonderful time for Christmas cookies, Hannah Swenson’s (Allison Sweeney) own special plum pudding. She’s busy as can be and loving it. She also gets a kick out of ‘Lunatic Larry Jaeger’s Crazy Elf Christmas Tree Lot’, a kitschy carnival taking place smack-dab in the middle of the village green. Larry thinks he’s crazy like a fox with his wild business schemes, but this time, the entrepreneur may have bitten off more than he can chew. Rumor has it that Larry’s in the red – an idea that takes a sinister turn when Hannah discovers he’s dead in his own office. It seems there are quite a few suspects – including his bitter ex-wife, his ex-partner’s daughter, a woman he was wooing, and the Crazy Elf Tree lot’s extremely exasperated investors. Now, with so many suspects to investigate and the twelve days of Christmas ticking away, Hannah’s running out of time to nab a murderous Scrooge who doesn’t want her to see the New Year. Based on the mystery series by bestselling author Joanne Fluke. The film stars Cameron Mathison (All My Children) and Barbara Niven (Cedar Cove).
November 22 – The new UP Channel movie Angels in the Snow will debut at 7 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Charles (Chris Potter from Heartland and the Good Witch movies) and Judith Montgomery (Kristy Swanson from Buffy, the Vampire Slauer) have a strained marriage mostly due to Charles’ non-stop work schedule. Their children, Alexander, Jennifer and Emily sense the tension and fight among themselves, as well. They are headed to the lavish cabin that Charles built for his family in the hopes of having a special family holiday. But the bickering continues until Joe and Marilyn Tucker and their children Lucie and Robbie are forced to spend Christmas with them as they wait out a blizzard. The love, respect and happiness exhibited by the Tuckers has a profound effect on the Montgomerys’ lives.
November 22 and November 23 – The two-night mini-series Saints & Strangers will air at 9 PM both nights on National Geographic
MINI-SERIES SYNOPSIS: After 66 days at sea, the Mayflower arrived in New England’s Provincetown Harbor with 102 men, women and children aboard. The brutal journey across the ocean on a vessel never intended to carry passengers had left many sick, hungry and dying. And though the sight of land brought great relief to the travelers, little did they know their journey had only just begun. The cast includes Vincent Kartheiser (Mad Men), Anna Camp (True Blood), Barry Sloane (Revenge), Brian F. O’Bryne (FlashForward and The Last Ship), Natascha McElhone (Californication), Ray Stevenson (Divergent) and Ron Livingston (Boardwalk Empire).
November 23 – Castle will air its fall finale on ABC at 10 PM
NOTE: The show will return for the rest of its current season in early February.
November 25 – The Hallmark Channel movie Once Upon a Holiday will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When an actual, honest-to-goodness royal princess runs off from her official obligations and duties for a couple of days around Christmas to see how the other half lives, she winds up falling for a good Samaritan who is unaware of her real identity. The film stars Brianna Evigan (Step Up franchise), Paul Campbell (Battlestar Galactica) and Greg Evigan (BJ and the Bear).
November 26 – The 12 Gifts of Christmas is the new Hallmark Channel movie that will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When Anna Russo, an unemployed fine arts painter, is unable to make ends meet, she is hired to become a personal Christmas shopper for Marc, an uptight corporate exec. As they begin working together, Marc learns that Christmas giving has less to do with the amount of money spent and more to do with the importance of the gift, while Anna discovers she might find success as an artist in a way she never expected. The best gift of all of course is the love they discover with one another. The film stars Katrina Law (Arrow), Aaron O’Connell (The Haves and Have Nots) and Donna Mills (Knots Landing).
November 27 – The fourth season of the former CBS series Unforgettable has a new home on A&E, airing its two-hour back-to-back season premiere at 8 and 9 PM
November 27 – The Hallmark Channel movie Crown for Christmas will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Allie (Danica McKellar), a fired maid from a ritzy NYC hotel, takes a job as a governess to a young girl who is part of a powerful family in Europe. After reluctantly accepting, and upon arrival at the castle, learns the girl is Princess Theodora and that her father is Maximillion, the King of Winshire (Rupert Penry Jones). Max informs Allie that the Princess prides herself on terrorizing authority figures and has gotten worse since her mother’s death. As the story unfolds, we see Allie bond with Theodora and also helps to bring Theodora and her father together. And through all of this, a spark forms between Allie and Max. However, Countess Celia is expecting to wed the King. Will Max take a stand for his feelings for Allie and make it truly a merry Christmas for all?
November 27 – The new scripted drama South of Hell will debut all 7 episodes on WE tv starting at 6 PM
Show Synopsis: Charleston, South Carolina is an elusive city with many faces and the perfect home for Maria Abascal (Mena Suvari), a stunning, 30-year-old demon-hunter-for-hire. Alongside her brother, David (Zachary Booth from Keep the Lights On), she is skilled and fearless in her pursuit of the demons that live in others. Like those that she hunts, Maria is divided within herself, struggling with her own demon, Abigail, who resides inside of her, feeding on the evil Maria exorcises from others. Maria and Abigail share a soul and a destiny, but as Maria desperately tries to overtake Abigail, she will discover how far Abigail will go to remain a part of her.
November 28 – The Hallmark Channel movie A Christmas Detour will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Two NYC bound travelers find themselves inextricably linked when a snowstorm waylays their flight to an airport hotel in Buffalo. Eternal optimist and hopeless romantic, Paige Summers (Candace Cameron Bure), desperately needs to find a way to the city to meet her fiancé’s parents before her wedding – and it’s up to a guy she can’t stand, fellow passenger and total stranger Dylan MacKenzie (Paul Greene from Bitten), who is permanently soured on romance after his girlfriend broke his heart. Still Dylan rises to the occasion to become Paige’s off-white Knight in shining armor. Joining them are Frank and Maxine Gambert, who are heading to Connecticut to spend Christmas with their daughter. As their madcap adventure ensues, our foursome will be forced to face a lot more surprises than the ever changing snowstorm preventing each of them from getting home.
November 28 – The new Lifetime holiday movie A Gift Wrapped Christmas will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Personal shopper Gwen’s newest client, Charlie, is a high-rolling, workaholic, single father. When Gwen meets his 8-year-old son, Owen, during a package drop, she is saddened to see just how little time Charlie spends with him. Determined to get Charlie to appreciate his family, Gwen makes it her Christmas mission to get him into the festive spirit. As she gets closer to Charlie and Owen, she also discovers what she wants for the holidays. The film stars Meredith Hagner (Men at Work), Travis Milne (Rookie Blue) and Beverley Mitchell (7th Heaven).
November 29 – The Hallmark Channel movie Angel of Christmas will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A holiday Grinch ever since her boyfriend dumped her on Christmas, newspaper staffer Susan (Jennifer Finnigan from Tyrant) gets her first big break to write her own headline story — but ironically, the story is a Christmas-themed account of her own family’s carved wooden Christmas Angel — an angel that supposedly has magical properties to bring true lovers together. The film also stars Jonathan Scarfe (Ties That Bind) and Holly Robinson Peete (21 Jump Street)
November 29 – The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie The Christmas Note will debut at 9 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Gretchen returns to her hometown with son Ethan and meets her new neighbor Melissa under unusual circumstances. Melissa’s mother has passed away, and the two form a reluctant friendship when Melissa discovers she has a sibling she never knew about. Through their detective work, Gretchen and Melissa grow closer and uncover a huge surprise that will change everything. The film stars Jamie-Lynn Sigler (The Sopranos) and Leah Gibson (The Returned).
November 29 – The season finale of The Walking Dead will air on AMC at 9 PM
November 29 – The Christmas Gift is the new Lifetime holiday movie that will debut at 9 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When ten-year-old Megan receives a Secret Santa gift, she is touched by its contents which end up having a huge impact on her life. Now a driven young journalist, Megan can’t shake her desire to thank the person who sent her that heartfelt gift over a decade ago. Determined to prove herself to her editor, she goes on the search for the perfect Christmas story, and in doing so, she finally discovers who her Secret Santa is. Inspired by a true story, starring Michelle Trachtenberg (Gossip Girl) and Rick Fox (Hit The Floor).
November 29 – The INSP holiday movie Christmas in the Smokies will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Clinging to the only life she’s ever known, Shelby Haywood (Sarah Lancaster from Chuck), a headstrong woman along with her loving parents – Wade and Annie Haygood (Barry Corbin from Northern Exposure and Blood & Oil and Rebecca Koon from The Notebook) finds herself on the verge of losing her family’s berry farm in the heart of the Smoky Mountains, to an impending retail expansion. Over one eventful holiday season, she tries every avenue possible to save the farm. But, when the local town leaders notify her that they will have to seize the property after the holidays, her last hope to unite the town, is to throw a Christmas concert on the farm, headlined by her former love Mason Wyatt (Alan Powell from The Song and Where Hope Grows), a ne’er-do-well country music superstar. As the day of the concert approaches, they all must learn the value of family, faith and community—before time runs out. The cast includes Jill Wagner (Teen Wolf and the made-for-TV movie Autumn Dreams) and Greg Alan Williams (Baywatch and Secrets and Lies).
November 29 – The ION original holiday movie A Prince for Christmas will debut at 9 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Experiencing cold feet about his upcoming arranged royal wedding, a Prince steals away incognito to the US in search of true love. Pretending to be somebody he isn’t, our Prince-¬-on-¬-the-¬-lam meets Emma, a diner waitress, whose Christmas needs considerable brightening. The film stars Viva Bianca (Spartacus: War of the Damned), relative newcomer Kirk Barker, Maxwell Caulfield (Grease 2 and Empire Records) and Kelly LeBrock (Weird Science).
November 29 – The original movie My One Christmas Wish will debut on the UP Channel at 7 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Jackie Turner (Amber Riley) is a straight-A college student who was abused, abandoned and starved as a child. Although she has resolutely turned her life around, the holidays are still very painful for her. Facing another lonely holiday break on campus, Jackie decides to put an ad on craigslist – and even offers to pay $8 an hour. To her surprise, responses flood in. Among the numerous heartfelt invitations and letters of support, she also hears from struggling individuals that empathize with the overwhelming emptiness that comes with spending the holidays without loved ones. Moved and inspired, Jackie decides to throw a big Christmas party – with the last-minute help of her advisor, friends and support group – to find families for all those troubled folks who emailed her, and finds one for herself as well.
