NICE BOY OF THE WEEK: Timothy Omundson

By  |

It’s our pleasure to introduce our Nice Boy of the Week, Timothy Omundson. He’s one of my favorite twitter follows (@Omundson) where his bio reads: “Semi-Pro Astronaut, Actor, Occasional Bounty Hunter. Not necessarily in that order.”

Timothy Omundson Hollywood SignHe seemed to have known his calling at an early age, studying theatre at the age of twelve, and continuing throughout high school. I wish I’d had his focus! He never wavered, pinpointing the performing arts with a side order of debate as he continued his studies.

Mr. Omundson is also continually on my radar for picking roles in underrated projects, like “Down with Love”, “Early Edition”, “Deadwood”, and “Human Target”. He’s also done a voice for the Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO, and I think he’d be well-suited for more voice-overs.

PsychTimothy Omundson is most well-known for his role as Detective Carlton Lassiter on the long-running USA Network hit “Psych”. He recently snagged a role in the ABC pilot “Galavant” as the evil King Richard. He’ll be the second lead opposite Joshua Sasse who is playing the titular character.

“Galavant” will be a comedic fantasy musical series written by Dan Fogelman (Tangled, Cars), with Oscar winner Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, Enchanted) writing the music.

Galavant – which is about to begin production in London – centers on handsome Prince Galavant (Sasse) — a classic once-upon-a-time hero, complete with sword, horse, great hair, courage, mad skills (like dragon-slaying and helping the poor) — and his quest for revenge over the evil King Richard (Omundson) who stole his one true love, the beautiful Madalena (Mallory Jansen). To Galavant’s shock, Madalena decided she prefers the King and his wealth and power to the love of penniless Galavant.

He is also an ambassador for the Best Friends Animal Society, and who doesn’t love a guy who loves animals?

Karen Lindsay, often teased as being "obscurely famous," talks a lot. (i.e. she podcasts). Her current and past projects involve television shows like "Chuck", "Castle", "Orphan Black", "Farscape", "Supergirl", "Lucifer" and many others. She's an avid gamer, reader, & collector of all things shiny - and while you may not think those things go hand-in-hand, they sometimes do. So don't ask her about how many pets she has in Warcraft. (or how shiny they are).
