September TV Calendar

The following list provides the dates of the dramas that will debut, return or end on the major and cable networks as well as on streaming services AND the made-for-TV movies and so much more that will air all throughout September:

September 1 – The two-hour ABC News Special 9/11: United We Stand – 25 Years Later will air on ABC at 9 PM

Special Synopsis: A powerful story of hope and healing led by Michael Strahan. The devastating terrorist attacks of 9/11 have been well documented, but the story of what helped people heal in the wake of tragedy remains relatively untold. This primetime special will explore how sports, music, Broadway and comedy helped Americans rediscover joy and begin to heal in the wake of the 9/11 attacks.

September 2 – The box office movie The Mandalorian and Grogu will make its streaming debut online on Disney+ today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The movie follows Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his apprentice Grogu after the fall of the Empire, as they are recruited by the New Republic for a high-stakes rescue mission involving Rotta the Hutt (voice provided by Jeremy Allen White). The film also stars Sigourney Weaver and Jonny Coyne as well as voices provided by Martin Scorsese and Shirley Henderson.

September 2 – The new Amazon Prime movie The Runner will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A high-powered attorney (Gal Gadot) must race through London to save her abducted son while following cryptic commands from a mysterious caller (Damian Lewis). The movie also stars Alfred Enoch.

September 3 – The second season of The Gentlemen will premiere online on Netflix today

September 4 – The Apple TV movie Mayday will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant Troy Brennan’s (Ryan Reynolds) reconnaissance mission over Soviet territory goes awry, forcing him to crash-land and survive in Russian wilderness while evading capture or rescue. Kenneth Branagh, David Morse, Maria Bakalova, Wendy Crewson and Alex Mallari Jr.

September 4 – The finale of the third season of Silo will air online on Apple TV today

September 5 – The Hallmark Channel movie Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Prelude to a Wedding will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Gethsemane (Tamera Mowry-Housley) is invited to perform at a wedding, but the celebration takes a dark turn when a member of the bridal party dies. She and (Ghost) Eamon (Risteard Cooper) must then unravel the mystery, navigating the complex web of wedding guests, family tensions, and hidden secrets.

September 6 – The third season premiere of The Marlow Murder Club will air on PBS at 8 PM followed by the debut of the new drama series Marble Hall Murders at 9 PM

Show Synopsis (Marble Hall Murders): The story will focus on an editor Susan Ryeland (Lesley Manville), who becomes entangled in a new murder case while working on a continuation novel of the Atticus Pünd series, written by a troubled young author (Jamie Blackley). In the fictional world of the novel, detective Atticus Pünd (Tim McMullan) travels to the Isle of Corfu, investigating the murder of Lady Margaret Chalfont (Patricia Hodge) with the help of a Greek detective (Zubin Varla. Susan unexpectedly finds herself a suspect in the real-life murder case, blending the meta literary mystery with suspenseful real-world intrigue.

September 6 – The new period piece drama A Tale of Two Cities will debut at 9 PM on MGM+

Show Synopsis: In this four-part drama adaptation of Charles Dickens’ literary classic, A Tale Of Two Cities, Kit Harington (Industry and Game of Thrones), François Civil (Beating Hearts and The Three Musketeers) and Mirren Mack (Miss Austen and Hedda) will star.

September 7 – The finale of The Librarians: The Next Chapter will air on TNT at 9 PM

September 9 – The Britbox period piece drama The Hardacres will air its finale online today

September 9 – The finale of The Shards will air online on Hulu and at 9 PM on FX

September 9 – The new drama Last Seen will debut online on Apple TV today

Show Synopsis: Police detective Ian Ridley’s (Patrick Brammall who starred in Colin From Accounts) life fell apart 11 years ago when his young daughter, Maggie, disappeared without a trace. Now working as a police dispatcher, the only thing that has kept him going is his implacable refusal to accept that she might be gone forever. When he receives a distress call from a teenage girl he is certain is Maggie, he will stop at nothing to find her and reunite his broken family, whatever the cost.

September 10 – The 8th season finale of Hudson & Rex will air online on UP Faith & Family today

September 10 – The new Netflix drama Crew Girl will debut online today

Show Synopsis: After a family scandal, teen rower Teagan Tao (Miku Martineau) moves to a small town and joins an elite prep school’s all-boys crew, sparking rivalry and attraction. Her mother will be played by Jessica Pare (SEAL Team) while other cast members include Hallmark hunk and Eureka alum Niall Matter and Thomas Cadrot (So Help Me Todd and Family Law).

September 10 – The new drama Cooper and Fry will debut online on Britbox today

Show Synopsis: Set in the mystery-shrouded Peak District, DC Ben Cooper (Robert James-Collier from Downton Abbey), an affable local to Edendale, is thrown together with DC Diane Fry (Mandip Gill from Doctor Who), a guarded newcomer who has arrived from the city under mysterious circumstances.

September 11 – The ABC News Special 9/11 Tribute in Light: Live From Lower Manhattan will air at 8 PM and will also air online on Disney+ and Hulu

Special Synopsis: This special will feature Diane Sawyer, David Muir and Robin Roberts, honoring the victims lost, reflecting on the lasting impact of that date and commemorating the resilience of the survivors, the families and communities and the first responders.

September 11 – The CBS News Special: 9/11: We Remember will air at 8 PM followed by the two-hour special Daughters of 9/11 at 9 PM

Special Synopsis (We Remember): This special will focus on ground zero, focusing on three stories tied to the tragedy.

Special Synopsis (Daughters of 9/11): This special will follow two daughters of victims and FBI special agent Frank Pellegriono who interrogated the mastermind of the attack.

September 12 – The Lifetime movie Angel in the Rubble: The Genelle Guzman Story will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Genelle Guzman‑McMillan (to be played by Sherri Shepherd), who was born in Trinidad and working on the 64th floor of the North Tower, became the final person rescued alive after the collapse on September 11, 2001. Her memoir, on which this movie is loosely based, detailed the moments before the attack, the collapse, her long entrapment and the spiritual reflections that sustained her until rescue. Miraculously, she survived 27 hours under concrete and steel before being found by rescuers; and while trapped, she revisited memories of childhood miracles and rediscovered her faith.

September 12 – The Hallmark Channel movie Falling Into Place will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Kaia returns home for her town’s fall festival as well as her high school reunion and spends the week with her childhood best friend, James, to complete their unfinished fall bucket list. The movie will star Alvina August and Nathan Witte.

September 13 – The finale of The Walking Dead: Dead City will air on AMC at 9 PM and will also air online on AMC+

September 13 – The first two episodes of the new drama High Value Target: The Hunt for Saddam will debut on TNT at 9 PM

Show Synopsis: The first American to interrogate Saddam Hussein slowly starts to realize that the US invasion of Iraq is not as cut and dry, nor its outlook as positive, as Washington believes. The series will star Joel Kinnaman (For All Mankind, The Killing and Altered Carbon), Tom Berenger and Christopher McDonald.

September 14 – The 78th Annual Emmy Awards will air on NBC at 8 PM

September 15 – The Britbox drama Agatha Christie’s Tommy & Tuppence will debut the first two episodes of its debut season online today

Show Synopsis: This version will be a modern take of the characters created by the legendary writer. It will be set in upscale London with the duo, to be played by The Good Doctor alum Antonia Thomas and The Buccaneers cast member Josh Dylan, tackling murders and mysteries. It should be noted that Imelda Staunton and Alice Krige will also appear in the show.

September 15 – The second season premiere of R.J. Decker will air on ABC at 10 PM

September 16 – The finale of Reacher will air online on Amazon Prime today

September 16 – The 6th season premiere of Slow Horses will air online on Apple TV today

September 16 – The Reacher spin-off series Neagley will debut online on Amazon Prime today

Show Synopsis: The spin-off series of Reacher, on Amazon Prime on September 16. Maria Sten, who has been seen in 20 episodes of the Alan Ritchson-led drama, reprising her role of Frances Neagley, better known as just Neagley. She puts her experience with Reacher and the 110 Special Investigators to use as she embarks on a perilous mission to expose a sinister threat, risking her life to unravel the mystery. Greyston Holt from Bitten and Rebbeca Liddiard from Frankie Drake Mysteries will co-star.

September 17 – The limited series Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story will debut online on Netflix today

Show Synopsis: From Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, this version of the legendary story of Lizzie Bordon will be a stylized, feminist-inflected retelling of one of America’s most famous unsolved murder trials. Ella Beatty (the daughter of Warren Beatty and Annette Bening) will star as the acquitted axe murderer in a story that will blend historical intrigue with speculative romance and myth. The cast will include Charlie Hunnam, Rebecca Hall, Vicky Krieps and Billie Lourd.

September 18 – The second season of Outlander: Blood of My Blood will premiere on Starz at 8 PM

September 18 – The Netflix comedy Bollywood dance movie Best of the Best will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: This comedy, Bollywood-fusion dance movie will star Never Have I Ever lead Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Priyanka Kedia, who was just seen in the box office movie Disclosure Day. They play childhood best friends, who join UCLA’s competitive dance team.

September 18 – The second season premiere of Mobland will air on Paramount+ online today

September 19 – The Lifetime movie Sole Survivor of Flight 119 will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The film will follow Lisa Foster (Sarah Wayne Callies from The Walking Dead), a woman who survives a devastating plane crash deep in the Mexican jungle. Stranded and alone, she must rely on her resourcefulness, inner strength and faith to endure the wilderness and find her way home to her young daughter. At the same time, Rebecca Till (Joy Bryant from Parenthood), an airline executive who narrowly missed boarding Flight 119, who is assigned to assist the families of the missing passengers. As she becomes involved in Lisa’s story, a final text Lisa sent moments before the crash becomes a key breakthrough in the search, forging an unlikely bond between the two women.

September 20 – The finale of Lioness will air online on Paramount+ today

September 20 – The new PBS drama Trespasses will debut at 10 PM

Show Synopsis: Cushla (Lola Petticrew) is a young Catholic schoolteacher whose life in 1975 Northern Ireland is shadowed by the Troubles. She meets and falls for Michael Agnew (Tom Cullen) – an older, married Protestant barrister. Their affair is intoxicating and dangerous. As the forbidden love between Cushla and Michael deepens, violence looms and tensions rise. Cushla is pulled between duty and desire, family and freedom. The cast includes Gillian Anderson.

September 20 – The 1970’s themed drama American Hostage will debut its first two episodes on MGM+ at 9 and 10 PM

Show Synopsis: This series will focus on Fred Heckman (Jon Hamm), a beloved Indianapolis radio reporter, who is thrust into the middle of a life-or-death crisis when hostage-taker, Tony Kiritsis (Giovanni Ribisi from Sneaky Pete), demands to be interviewed on his popular radio news program. The cast includes Mireille Enos (The Killing), Jonathan Tucker (I Will Find You and Westworld), William Jackson Harper (The Good Place), and – the main reason why I’ll be watching – Kristoffer Polaha (Hallmark Channel movies, Condor and Wonder Woman 1984).

September 21 – The new fall drama Line of Fire will debut on NBC at 10 PM

Show Synopsis: This new series will star 9-1-1 alum Peter Krause and Hope Davis (About Schmidt and Your Honor), as the heads of a family of law enforcement agents who become targets of a mysterious assassin after a U.S. Marshal falls in the line of duty, forcing them to use their expertise to protect each other.

September 22 – The second season premiere of Best Medicine will air on FOX at 8 PM followed by the third season premiere of Doc at 9 PM

September 23 – The Amazon Prime movie The Love Hypothesis will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The movie will follow Olive Smith (Riverdale’s Lili Reinhart), a brilliant Ph.D. candidate in biology, who impulsively kisses intimidating professor Adam Carlsen (Tom Bateman from Hedda and Death on the Nile) to prove she’s moved on from her crush Jeremy (Nicholas Duvernay from Bel-Air and The White Lotus). The kiss is meant to reassure her best friend Anh (Rachel Marsh from Fallout) that she’s ready to date someone else, but it sparks a fake dating arrangement with rules and boundaries.  As their “experiment” in love unfolds, Olive and Adam must navigate the tension between performance and reality, with each testing their own theories about whether love is worth the risk.

September 24 – The season finale of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will air online on Paramount+ today

September 25 – The spin-off series S.W.A.T. Exiles will debut on Starz at 9 PM

Show Synopsis: In this new spin-off of the hit series, after a high-profile mission goes sideways, Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson (Shemar Moore) is pulled out of forced retirement to lead a last-chance experimental S.W.A.T. unit made up of untested, unpredictable young recruits. Hondo must bridge a generational divide, navigate clashing personalities and turn a squad of outsiders into a team capable of protecting the city – and saving the program that made him who he is. The show also star Zyra Gorecki (La Brea), Ronen Rubinstein (9-1-1: Lone Star), Lucy Barrett (CW’s reboot of Charmed), Freddy Miyares (Grey’s Anatomy) and Adain Bradley (The Bold and the Beautiful).

September 25 – The true crime dramatic movie Unabomber will debut online on Netflix today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: This movie will be told across two timelines: 1950s Harvard timeline: with Jacob Tremblay playing a young Ted Kaczynski, a mathematical genius subjected to controversial psychological experiments led by Professor Henry Murray (Russell Crowe). These experiments are depicted as formative in Kaczynski’s later radicalization. And, the 1990s FBI manhunt with Shailene Woodley playing FBI agent Joanne Miller, who leads the investigation to capture Kaczynski, highlighting the consequences of ambition, isolation, and the psychological impact of his early experiences.

September 26 – The Hallmark Channel movie Pumpkin Regatta Romance will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When their fathers refuse to move past a disagreement, Nadine, daughter of the boat shop owner, and Ethan, a pumpkin farmer, team up to heal the feud and revive the town’s Pumpkin Regatta. The movie will star Mishael Morgan and Corey Sevier.

September 26 – The Lifetime movie The Ocean Between Them will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: While vacationing in Belize, an unexpected storm leaves young kayaker Miranda (Jessica Lord) stranded at sea. As she battles the elements to survive, her mother, Joan (Rebecca Gayheart), embarks on a relentless search that tests her resolve and pushes her beyond her limits. Gayheart’s real-life daughter (and daughter of the late actor Eric Dane) Georgia Dane will star as the younger daughter Ashley.

September 27 – The 2026 MTV Video Music Awards will air simultaneously at 7:30 PM on both CBS and MTV

September 28 – The series finale of All American will air on CW at 8 PM
