Attention Castle fans!

How long have we been waiting to find out about Rick’s (Nathan Fillion) mysterious dad? Yeah, I know, its been forever; but on February 25 we will finally get to see the man in the flesh.

Actor James Brolin (from the 80’s classic soap opera Hotel and the 70’s hit series Marcus Welby, M.D. and father of actor Josh Brolin; oh and he is married to Barbra Streisand too) will be playing Rick’s dad; but much like the mysterious man he has been since the beginning of the show, character details are being kept under wraps. What details are known, though, is that daddy dearest will figure into the second half of next month’s two-part episode (its nearly February sweeps time folks).

What fans can be told about the episode, however, is that in the first installment of the February two-parter, Castle and Beckett (Stana Katic) team with an FBI agent (guest star Dylan Walsh) to investigate a murder that exposes a plot to kidnap the daughter of a wealthy Middle Eastern businessman. In the conclusion, Castle’s involvement in the case will suddenly put his life in danger.

The two-parter of Castle will air on February 18 and will conclude with the appearance by Brolin on February 25.

Mark your calendars!
