“The Mentalist” Panel at Paley

Although we discussed this event on our radio broadcast last week, there were just a couple straggler comments I wanted to make, and add a photo of mine to the gallery. It’s not a great photo, but it’s the only one I could get while there. The Arclight Theater allows no flash photography during these events and my camera doesn’t like that. I got this one by mistake. My flash went off – oops!

Anyway, although the panel was a lot of fun, and the cast were very obviously having a great time of it, the set visit was a cool thing as well. I would love to have grabbed a picture sitting at VanPelt’s desk or on Jayne’s leather couch, but they were still filming the show (on location, that day) and we were told we couldn’t touch anything. But it was cool to walk around the office and the break room, and see the interrigation room as well as some suspect/victim photos hanging on a board.

It was a lot of fun to take the tour with so many “Mentalist” fans on board. While being shown certain spots where filming for the show took place, one gal knew the exact title of the show the scene was from.
