The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face: Big Name Stars

By  |

It’s been quite a while since I have added a new piece to this ongoing “First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” series of articles, so I thought it was time I revisited it with a look at some big-name stars.

You will clearly recognize the faces to follow below, but do you remember the first time you ever saw their face on TV or in film, because I do.

Please read on:

Elisabeth Moss

WHO SHE PLAYS NOW: She is best known for her role of June Osborne in the long-running, but soon-to-end The Handmaid’s Tale over on Hulu, but…

THE FIRST TIME EVER I SAW HER FACE: She has been acting since 1990, appearing in 7 episodes of the beloved series Picket Fences, and even playing an early-teen Ashley Judd in a made-for-TV movie about the legendary Judd family, but I first saw her on TV in 1999, playing Zoey Bartlet, the daughter of President Josiah Bartlet (Martin Sheen) in the heralded political drama The West Wing.

The late great Patrick Swayze

WHO HE PLAYED BEFORE HIS UNTIMELY DEATH: He played FBI agent Charlie Barker in the 2009 short-lived A&E crime drama The Beast – alongside Tarzan and Vikings alum Travis Fimmel, but…

THE FIRST TIME EVER I SAW HIS FACE: Before he melted hearts and made women all over the globe want to be his dance partner in Dirty Dancing, he appeared in the 1979 box office movie Skatetown, U.S.A., but I remember him first from his role of Orry Main in the ABC made-for-TV mini-series North and South that aired in two parts in 1985 and 1986.

Hugh Jackman

WHO HE PLAYS NOW: He is best known as Wolverine, aka Logan in the Marvel Universe and for his musical talents but…

THE FIRST TIME EVER I SAW HIS FACE: He played Duncan Jones in 5 episodes of the TV series Snowy River: The McGregor Saga that aired from 1994 through 1996 here in the states on Family Channel – formerly the Christian Broadcasting Network, which later became ABC Family and then even later Freeform. He appeared in the fourth and final season of the series in 1996.

Winston Duke

WHO HE PLAYS NOW: He played Dan Tucker alongside Ryan Gosling in the big screen adaptation of The Fall Guy and is best known for his warrior role of M’Baku in the Black Panther movies, but…

THE FIRST TIME EVER I SAW HIS FACE: He made heads turn in his impressive, albeit short-lived, role of Dominic in the CBS drama Person of Interest in 2014 and 2015. In fact, back in 2015 he participated in an exclusive interview with NiceGirl Cay, which you can read here.

If you were asked to name the first time you ever saw their face, are there big-name stars who would fit that bill? Please share in our comments section below.
