The following list provides the dates of the dramas that will debut, return or end on the major and cable networks as well as on streaming services AND the made-for-TV movies and so much more that will air all throughout December:

December 1 – The linear TV debut of the HBO Max drama The Pitt will air on TNT at 9 PM, airing three back-to-back episodes each night [Please note that each episode will be uncut, in other words, not edited for content]

December 1 – The Netflix documentary All the Empty Rooms will debut online today

Documentary Synopsis: This documentary is by Oscar-nominated Joshua Seftel and headed by CBS News broadcast journalist Steve Harman who spent seven years traveling around America to visit families affected by gun violence. Hartman stepped away from his heartwarming human interest stories and, unbeknownst to his network’s bosses, pursued a piece on absence, memory and the unseen ripples of America’s gun violence epidemic. As these senseless incidents claimed more young lives than any other cause in America, these quiet bedrooms revealed truths more powerful than statistics ever could.

December 2 – The season finale of Murder in a Small Town will air on FOX at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Claire Clauster (Michelle Pfeiffer) makes the Christmas magic happen every year for her family but her children and grandchildren don’t realise the effort it takes, until she goes missing. The cast includes Felicity Jones, Chloe Grace Moretz, Danielle Brooks, Denis Leary, Maude Apatow, Jason Schwartzman, Joan Chen, Devery Jacobs,Eva Longoria and Dominic Sessa.

December 3 – The holiday movie My Secret Santa will debut online today on Netflix

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: After losing her job, a desperate single mother (Alexandra Breckenridge) resorts to disguising herself as an elderly man to get hired as a local ski resort’s Santa Claus for the holidays. Things become complicated when the resort manager begins to suspect her and she falls in love with the owner’s handsome son. Ryan Eggold, Tia Mowry and Diana Maria Riva co-star.

December 4 – The BET+ holiday movie Love After Holidays will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The film follows a talk show host battling alcohol addiction and personal demons, who loses everything she holds dear – her faith, career and custody of her daughter. On her journey of self-discovery, she must confront her past, rebuild relationships and transform her pain into purpose to find healing and redemption. The cast includes Jacinth Headlam, Jeremy Meeks and Malik Yoba.

December 4 – The Netflix western series The Abandons will debut online today

Show Synopsis: Washington Territory – 1854 – The matriarchs of two very different families – one of wealth and privilege bound by blood, the other a found family of orphans and outcasts bound by love and necessity – find their fates linked by two crimes, an awful secret, a star-crossed love, and a piece of land with silver underneath. The collision echoes the American struggle of the haves and have-nots, in a place just beyond the reach of justice. The cast includes Gillian Anderson, Lena Headey, Lucas Till, Michiel Huisman, Nick Robinson, Patton Oswalt and Ryan Hurst.

December 5 – The HBO Max movie The Family McMullen will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The movie is a sequel to The Brothers McMullen from 1995, focusing on a close-knit family as they navigate life’s ups and downs, confronting personal struggles and evolving bonds. As they face unexpected hurdles, their connections are tested, revealing the complexities of love, loyalty, and growth within a family. The cast includes Edward Burns, Connie Britton, Michael McGlone, reprising their roles from the first film along with Tracee Ellis Ross, Halston Sage, Juliana Canfield, Pico Alexander and Brian d’Arcy James.

December 5 – The feature film Jay Kelly will debut online on Netflix today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Famous movie actor Jay Kelly (George Clooney) embarks on a journey of self-discovery, confronting his past and present with his devoted manager Ron (Adam Sandler). The ensemble cast includes Isla Fisher, Billy Crudup, Louis Partridge, Laura Dern, Patrick Wilson, Eve Hewson, Emily Mortimer, Riley Keough, Greta Gerwig, Jim Broadbent, Kyle Soller and Stacy Keach.

December 5 – The new Hallmark Channel series Twelve Dates ‘Til Christmas will debut at 8 PM

Show Synopsis: Based on the book by Jenni Bayliss, Mae Whitman stars as Kate, a Saville Row textile pattern designer, living in the quaint village of Blexford, England. When her best friend Laura (Lucy Eaton) signs her up for The 12 Dates of Christmas, a festively themed matchmaking program in the days leading up to the holiday featuring carefully curated, yuletide dating experiences, Kate is forced to get out of her rut. As she wends her way through the 12 dates, she takes a circuitous route to romance while also making some important discoveries about herself. The cast includes Jane Seymour, Julian Morris, Mary McDonnell and Nathaniel Parker.

December 5 – The new series Spartacus: House of Ashur will debut back-to-back episodes on Starz starting at 9 PM

Show Synopsis: In a world where he survived the events of Spartacus, Ashur (Nick E. Tarabay) clawed his way to power, owning the same ludus that once owned him. Allying with a fierce gladiatrix, Ashur ignites a new kind of spectacle that offends the elite. The cast includes Claudia Black, Graham McTavish, Ivana Baquero and Lucy Lawless.

December 5 – The Lifetime holiday movies Jingle All the Way to Love and A Christmas Cookbook will air at 8 and 10:03 PM respectively

MOVIE SYNOPSIS (Jingle All the Way): Andi (Erin Agostino) receives a lucky sleigh bell from a handsome stranger at a New Year’s party, only to pass it on. Years later, she wins a radio contest and the host, Jake (Romaine Waite), turns her story into a segment.

MOVIE SYNOPSIS (A Christmas Cookbook): Newly single at Christmas, Veronica Cearley (Ashley Newbrough) finds unexpected comfort in The X-Mas Club—a festive group of food lovers who cook, give back, and celebrate the season solo. But when sparks fly with the club’s warm-hearted founder, Cullen Murdock (Franco Lo Presti), she realizes that the best part of Christmas might not be the food or the traditions—but the people who feel like home.

December 6 – The OWN holiday movie The Christmas Showdown will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Former childhood best friends, April (Corbin Reid) and Chastity (Amber Stevens West), haven’t spoken ever since April bailed on their plan to move to New York, choosing Paris instead to chase her dream as an event producer. When her career fizzles, April returns home and unexpectedly crosses paths with Chastity, who is also out of work, and desperate for a fresh start. Both women set their sights on the same event design job for the upcoming Sugar Heights Christmas Eve Spectacular. But to impress Hen (Loretta Devine), the event producer overseeing the show, they’ll need to mend old wounds and work as a team. What begins as a friendly rivalry, quickly escalates to an all-out holiday showdown. The cast includes Obba Babatunde, Carla Renata and Sterling Sulieman.

December 6 – The Lifetime holiday movies Deck the Hallways and Merry Missed Connection will air at 8 and 10:03 PM respectively

MOVIE SYNOPSIS (Deck the Hallways): Zoe (Naika Toussaint) teams up with her charming childhood crush, Jace (Jaime M. Callica), and their 5th Floor neighbors to revive a holiday celebration. Loretta Devine also stars.

MOVIE SYNOPSIS (Merry Missed Connection): Marie (Emily Alatalo) accidentally swaps diaries with a stranger at speed dating. As Christmas approaches, the holiday magic helps her find the right diary, and the right man, to make her Christmas season truly unforgettable. Andrew Bushell and Noah Berc co-star.

December 6 – The holiday movie Paws in the City will debut on the CW at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A woman lands a job caring for a dachshund diva whose bark is worse than her bite, much like the dog’s reclusive and handsome owner. What starts as a way to keep a roof over her head soon turns into an opportunity for lifelong success and love. The movie stars Emeraude Toubia and Carter Jenkins.

December 6 – The Hallmark Channel movie She’s Making a List will debut at 8 PM followed by the one-hour-long special The Hallmark Christmas Experience: A Hometown Holiday Christmas Special at 10 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS (She’s Making a List): A Naughty-or-Nice inspector evaluating a girl’s Christmas status falls for her widowed father, making her question the strict rules of her consulting firm and forcing her to choose between protocol and love. The movie stars Lacey Chabert, Andrew Walker and Steve Bacic.

SPECIAL SYNOPSIS (Hallmark Christmas Experience Special): No one knows Christmas like Hallmark, and now for the first time on television, we’re bringing viewers behind the scenes to show how we do it in our hometown of Kansas City, Missouri. Join Hallmark stars BJ Britt, Robert Buckley, Paul Campbell, Taylor Cole, Rhiannon Fish, Tyler Hynes, Jessy Schram, Kimberley Sustad, Andrew Walker, and Jonathan Bennett as well as host Benjamin Ayres as they explore this one-of-a-kind Christmas wonderland, interact with fans, enjoy special musical performances, catch exclusive clips from Hallmark series both beloved and brand-new, and see a jaw dropping Christmas tree lighting extravaganza.

December 7 – The UPtv holiday movie A Christmas Murder Mystery will debut at 7 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Vera Vexley (Morgan Bradley) is the editor of the Metropolitan Ledger’s puzzle section, and a part-time consulting detective for the local sheriff’s office. This year, she has been invited to spend the holidays with family friends the Sterlings, a wealthy family who appears to be hiding enough secrets to stuff a sleigh. Vera soon finds herself helming a murder investigation when someone is found dead on Christmas morning, putting her at odds with the quick-tempered and distraught family members. Can Vera find the culprit before the holidays turn even more deadly? The movie also stars Vivica A. Fox and Rob Mayes.

December 7 – The holiday movie Single on the 25th will debut at 8 PM on Hallmark Channel

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: For Nell Duke (Lyndsy Fonseca), nothing is worse than being single at Christmastime because everywhere she looks, couples are kissing under the mistletoe. After her family cancels holiday plans at the last minute, Nell decides to spend the week of Christmas having fun on her own! When she crosses paths with her neighbor Cooper (Daniel Lissing), a financial analyst who prides himself on being happily unattached, he notices Nell struggling with being alone and decides to share tips on how to keep the holidays festive. Cooper inspires Nell to challenge her insecurities and find happiness in being on her own. In turn, Nell helps Cooper realize he’s missing out on real connection. In the fun partnership that forms, the friendly singles’ Christmas together starts to feel like something more. Their special connection falls apart when Nell finds out Cooper only offered to help because he felt sorry Nell had to spend the holidays alone. To make Christmas truly magical this year, Cooper must show real growth of character while Nell finds her own strength in being single during the holidays.

December 10 – The second season premiere of Percy Jackson and the Olympians will air online on Disney+ and Hulu

December 11 – The BET+ holiday movie Never Alone for Christmas: Memphis will air online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: In the movie, two Memphis ladies with big hearts, a dating coach and a once great Beale Street blues singer, find themselves unexpectedly alone for Christmas. So they help one another reset their love lives. The cast includes Melissa L. Williams, Juhahn Jones, K. Michelle, Chris Sakyi and Tom Arnold.

December 12 – The Lifetime holiday movies A Runaway Bride for Christmas and Christmas in Alaska will debut at 8 and 10:03 PM respectively

MOVIE SYNOPSIS (A Runaway Bride for Christmas): After fleeing her wedding, Emma (Nischelle Turner) returns to her hometown and falls for Mitch (Mark Ghanime), her old high school crush, who’s nursing his own broken heart. Kaitlyn Leeb co-stars.

MOVIE SYNOPSIS (Christmas in Alaska): Rival journalists competing for the same lucrative promotion get stuck together in snowy Alaska after their plane is forced to make an emergency landing. They find themselves caught up in a totally unexpected Christmas romance. The movie stars Emma Johnson and Marcus Rosner.

December 12 – The Netflix feature film Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The story revolves around the sudden death of Monsignor Jefferson Wicks (Josh Brolin) whose assistant Jud Duplenticy (Josh O’Connor) is accused of the murder. As Benoir Blanc (Daniel Craig) delves into the investigation, he navigates a complex web of secrets and tensions within the church community. The ensemble cast includes Mila Kunis, Glenn Close, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny, Daryl McCormack, Jeffrey Wright and Thomas Haden Church.

December 13 – The holiday movie Recipe for Romance will debut at 8 PM on the CW

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Sari’s (True O’Brien) big plans get derailed when Gabe (Alex Mallari Jr.) opens a bakery next door to her family’s coffee shop. This launches a prank war to end all prank wars, bringing Sari and Gabe together in a story of love, family, community and delicious pastries.

December 13 – The Hallmark Channel holiday movie A Suite Holiday Romance will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Writer Sabrina (Jessy Schram) stays at a luxury hotel to ghostwrite a memoir. She meets Ian (Dominic Sherwood) at the bar and lets him think she’s wealthy. He’s actually a secretary posing as nobility while managing a royal jewels exhibit.

December 13 – The Lifetime holiday movies Thank God: Christmas at Keller Ranch and Rodeo Christmas Romance will debut at 8 and 10:03 PM respectively

MOVIE SYNOPSIS (Thank God: Christmas at Keller Ranch): The movie follows the story of a pro hockey player who finds romance with a grieving rancher. The movie stars Arielle Kebbel and Tyler Hilton.

MOVIE SYNOPSIS (Rodeo Christmas Romance): When a fiercely independent equestrian finds herself ranch-sitting for a friend while caring for her injured horse over Christmas, she clashes with a brooding veteran. The movie stars Rebecca Dalton and Corey Sevier.

December 13 – The holiday movie Very Merry Mystery will debut on OWN at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Ashleigh Murray and Tristan Mack Wilds star as a small-town hairstylist and her detective boyfriend, respectively, in a story that revolves around a beauty shop owner who attends a Christmas Murder Mystery party where the host goes missing, leading to a thrilling investigation.

December 14 – The Hallmark Channel holiday movie Oy to the World will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When a synagogue’s pipes burst, a church offers space. As choir directors prepare a joint Christmas-Hanukkah service, old rivals Nikki and Jake must overcome their competition to unite their communities through song. The movie stars Brooke D’Orsay and Jake Epstein.

December 14 – The holiday movie Christmas in Big Sky Country will debut on UPtv at 7 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Becca Collins (Rebecca Dalton) collaborates with Logan Johnston (Olivier Renaud), the oil company’s new PR agent, to ensure her brother-in-law returns home safely for the holidays after an incident on an oil rig. Can Becca trust Logan’s intentions? The cast also includes Tamara Duarte, Mark Ghanime, Conrad Coates and Shaun Johnston.

December 15 – A two-hour episode of FBI will air on CBS at 8 PM

December 16 – An episode of NCIS: Sydney will air on CBS at the special time of 9 PM

December 19 – The Lifetime holiday movie Sweet Holiday Romance will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Amanda (Erin Karpluk), a world-renowned pastry chef, is worried she’s losing her edge. Wanting to reclaim her title as the Queen of Christmas Cookies, she enters the Chicago Christmas Market Christmas Cookie Competition, which requires that bakers pair up with other businesses to create the best confections. Knowing she’ll find inspiration in her hometown of Paisley, Amanda decides to pair with The Little Shop of Fudge, a staple in the community. Little does she know, the owner, Jackie, has left her handsome nephew, Simon (Christopher Russell), in charge of operations and he doesn’t have a clue about making fudge. With Jackie away, Simon and Amanda must work together to recreate Jackie’s world-famous fudge in time for the competition, learning that their opposite philosophies just might make for a sweet and savory romance.

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When a talented singer-songwriter loses his daughter in a tragic accident on Christmas Eve, he needs to find his way back to the faith that used to ground him before he loses himself, his marriage and family. The movie features all original music. The movies stars Megan Alexander, Derek Hinckley and special cameos by country singer Mark Wills and Rhonda Vincent.

December 20 – The made-for-TV movie Ordinary Girl in a Tiara will debut at 8 PM on the CW

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Inspired by the Harlequin novel by Jessica Hart, the movie focuses on what happens when vintage fashion devotee Caro Cartwright (Katharine King So) agrees to harbor her childhood nemesis turned couture heiress Philippa Levreaux (Kathryn Gallagher), fireworks explode. Despite — or perhaps because of — their differences, these two women help each other wrangle the challenges around them to find a way forward, be their best selves and fulfill their dreams.

December 20 – The Hallmark Channel movie A Make or Break Holiday will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Liv and Daniel are hosting their families for the first time this Christmas and stress is at an all-time high. When unspoken irritations within their relationship finally reach a boiling point, Liv and Daniel find themselves at odds and decide they need to take a break from each other. However, relaying this news to their families will most certainly ruin Christmas, so they decide to move forward with their original plans and will pretend to be a happy couple while everyone is under one roof. As they navigate the complexities of their respective families and work together to create a holiday celebration they’ll all remember, Liv and Daniel begin to rediscover what they love about each other and may not have to pretend much longer. The movie stars Hunter King and Evan Roderick.

December 20 – The holiday movie A Pickleball Christmas will debut on Lifetime at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Fresh off the biggest win of his career, tennis star Luke Hollis (James Lafferty) heads home to Florida for Christmas, only to discover his family’s racquet club is on the verge of being sold. Teaming up with Caroline (Zibby Allen), the club’s pickleball coach, Luke reluctantly agrees to compete in a high-stakes holiday tournament that could save the club.

December 21 – The holiday movie Christmas With the Knightlys will debut on UPtv at 7 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Georgia Jackson (Celeste Desjardins) hopes to put on a Christmas showcase with her students but finds herself in the spotlight when in exchange for a new community center she agrees to pose as the girlfriend of Chase Knightly (Joe Scarpellino), the famous son of a billionaire.

December 21 – The holiday movie The Christmas Baby will debut at 8 PM on the Hallmark Channel

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When a baby boy shows up on their doorstep days before Christmas with a note written specially for them, Erin (Ali Liebert) and Kelly (Katherine Barrell) must learn how to navigate their new relationship and career dynamics while unexpectedly caring for a newborn. As the couple spends more time with the baby as a temporary solution until he can be placed permanently or they can find his mother, they begin to realize that they want to adopt him themselves and go about navigating the complicated world of fostering to adopt all while their business is booming at the busiest time of the year, Christmas. Barbara Niven co-stars.

December 24 – The Netflix movie Goodbye June will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The film centers on four siblings whose lives change when their ailing mother takes a turn for the worse over the holiday season. The ensemble cast includes Kate Winslet (who also directed the film), Helen Mirren, Toni Collette, Johnny Flynn, Andrea Riseborough, Timothy Spall, Stephen Merchant and Raza Jaffrey.

December 25 – The second part of the final season of Stranger Things will premiere online on Netflix

December 25 – The BET+ holiday movie A Soulful Christmas will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When the children of two legendary — and feuding — R&B artists are forced to collaborate on a holiday song remake, their rivalry turns into unexpected romance. But between family legacies, long-buried grudges, and a looming Christmas Eve deadline, they’ll need to find harmony both on and off the stage to create the hit that could heal two families. The cast includes Kaci Walfall, Myles Truitt, Shanice and Kenny Lattimore.

December 25 – The Call the Midwife Holiday Special 2025 will debut at 8 PM on PBS

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Senior members of the convent embark on a mercy mission, swapping the snowy East End of London for the sun-drenched terrain of Hong Kong. The rise in hospital births, and wider changes in the NHS, have clipped their wings. But their mission to the Far East is a chance to take flight and work out what really matters. For her part, Sister Julienne suddenly finds herself excited about the Order’s future. After years of battling change, she decides to embrace it and see what love can do.

December 26 – The season finale of Pluribus will air online on Apple TV today

December 27 – The new series The Copenhagen Test will debut online on Peacock today

Show Synopsis: This drama is about a first-generation Chinese American intelligence analyst named Alexander Hale (Simu Liu), who realizes his brain has been hacked (think the Zachary Levi-led TV series Chuck but with much less comedy and slapstick), giving the perpetrators access to everything he sees and hears. Caught between his shadowy agency and unknown hackers, he must maintain a performance 24/7 to flush out who is responsible and prove where his allegiance lies. Melissa Barrera co-stars.

December 28 – The season finale of Mayor of Kingstown will air online on Paramount+

December 28 – The season finale of Robin Hood will air on MGM+ at 9 PM

December 29 – The final three episodes of the first season of The Pitt will air on TNT at 9 PM

December 31 – The series finale of Stranger Things will air online on Netflix today
