A Million Little Things: Ten Years

By  |

Another new episode of A Million Little Things aired this week.

Here is the official synopsis for season two, episode 7: Ten Years

The gang gathers for Theo’s 10th birthday, which is also a significant milestone for Eddie. Meanwhile, Delilah, Eddie and Katherine are at an impasse about revealing the truth about Charlie; Rome and Regina try to keep Sophie from getting too close to PJ, and Maggie helps Gary make a difficult decision about his dog, Colin.

Nice Girls Cay and Rueben share their thoughts:

Rueben:

Can I just say that I loved that surprise little switch that Maggie pulled with Colin. It gave a homeless pet a happy forever home, it gave an elder widow a companion (even if it was a bit underhanded) and it gave Gary his beloved dog back. I’ll be curious to see if they ever revisit that part of the story or if it will simply fade away.

I’m glad that Theo’s 10th birthday party was great for him even if there was a lot of underlining tension between the adults. There is no easy solution for the situation between Delilah, Eddie and Katherine where little baby Charlie is concerned. I can see Katherine and Eddie not wanting lies between any of them given where lies led them in the past; but I can also respect Delilah not wanting to upset her kids’ lives anymore than they’ve already been upset. Of course, that could all could to hell with the reveal that PJ is Jon’s biological son. I have to admit that I wasn’t expecting those results. That revelation is going to be hard for everyone especially Sophie, Danny and Delilah in what is already a very delicate and difficult situation.

As much as I liked Jason Ritter, I was also glad that there wasn’t any mention of Eric in this episode, as Maggie and Gary need to move on from that. Don’t you agree?

Cay:

I love how Gary had to do his own investigation into Colin’s previous family – the discussion on the woman’s porch that they had was so Gary. I was also pleased that Gary did the right thing, or tried to, anyway. I thought Maggie switching the dogs was pretty unethical! If she really thinks the old woman won’t know the difference, then how would Gary? It seems really out of character for Maggie.

I’m questioning Delilah’s judgement as a parent. What reasonable parent gives their 16 year old daughter a sports car the day after she gets her license, no matter what the nostalgic value? If you’re going to give your kid a car, you give them a used Civic or Corolla or maybe a RAV4 if you live in Boston because of the snow. And you don’t just suddenly let them drive whoever wherever they want – accidents are much more likely to happen if teens are driving friends than solo!

I felt for Maggie with the driver’s test and I don’t have her family history! I was so stressed when the cop got into my car that I couldn’t think straight! Good for her for going back and getting it done.

The PJ and Sophie thing – so awkward. I enjoyed Rome trying to lay it out for him and then Regina coming in with a more nurturing approach. Will be interesting to see what happens when he finally finds out that he is Jon’s son, because now he’s got the issue that he’s committed a lie of omission all this time with Sophie. I imagine PJ being Jon’s son will be revealed before Charlie’s parentage and after that little bombshell, Katherine and Eddie might be convinced that now is not the time.

I was also thrilled to have no Eric and no Andrew in this episode.
