Comic-Con 2019: Candice Patton talks Nora, time travel, & The Flash Season 6

We sat down with the cast and showrunner of The Flash at Comic-Con 2019 to talk about where we left the residents of Central City at the end of last season and get the scoop on the new season.

Candice Patton said this season picks up right after the events of the fifth season, so Barry and Iris are still very much grieving the loss of Nora. But we will see more of Iris being a reporter – she’s going to hire more staff for the Citizen and will be more involved in the newspaper. She thinks there could be interesting interactions between Joe and Iris if their careers come into conflict, but she’s not sure what will happen this season (they were filming episode 3 when we talked).

Candice said she finds all the time travel in the show to be very confusing and thinks the crossovers are a logistic nightmare, but she thinks they are worth it for the finished product.

The Flash returns Tuesday, October 8 at 8/7c on the CW.
