Woman of the Week

My nomination this week is Padma Lakshmi for her new Hulu show: Taste the Nation. The show looks at what makes up American food by finding small pockets of different ethnic groups across major cities and talking about food we might otherwise not know the stories of. The episodes tackle the the struggles of many groups who left for the US (and also highlights the food from some indigenous groups) and racism/xenophobia at the heart of many immigrant arrivals.
