Tricia Helfer & Eric Mabius Star in It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

By  |

One of the last holiday movies, part of the Countdown to Christmas on the Hallmark Channel, is It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas, which is set to debut tonight, December 22.

Sarah (Tricia Helfer from Battlestar Galactica and Lucifer, and the holiday movie Operation Christmas) and Liam (Eric Mabius from Ugly Betty, the Signed, Sealed, Delivered franchise and the holiday movie Welcome to Christmas) have been competing against each other since they were schoolchildren, striving to best the other in everything from student body elections to college applications.

That rivalry continues to drive their interactions as mayors of East and West Riverton, New Hampshire, quaint towns that are perennial contestants in the annual “New Hampshire Christmas Spirit” contest. Determined to lead their beloved hamlets to victory, Sarah and Liam nearly let their competitive instincts get the better of them before calling a truce.

When both towns are chosen as finalists, the mayors have just five days to plan a celebration that shows what Christmas means to their community. Their surprising collaboration yields not only a magical event but also a Christmas miracle: love.

It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas debuts Sunday, December 22 at 8/7c on the Hallmark Channel.
