STUMPTOWN Roundtable: The Other Woman

Stumptown fans! Join Nice Girls Roz, Leah and Lisa while we discuss this episode of Stumptown –  “November Surprise” which focused on the following:

Dex is confronted with unresolved feelings from her past when she is hired by Sue Lynn to investigate a case with the widow of Dex’s former flame. Meanwhile, Dex and Grey’s friendship is put to the test by his new romance with Liz.

The Good
Leah: I like the coming together of Benny’s wife and Dex. That was good and LONG overdue.

Lisa: Miles is awesome!  We’ve always known, but his subtle comforting of Dex when she wanted to quit the case showed how much he cares for her and accepts her for who she is. She is a tough nut to crack and Miles does a great job being there for her without trying to change her.  The vulnerability she showed to Miles on the couch was so real.

Roz: I find it funny how Sue Lynne gets Dex to admit things about her past in sneaky ways, but it’s also great way to still used something so traumatic in a way that feels real. That situation in Afghanistan is something that stays.

The Bad
Leah: I’m just going to get on board with Lisa and Roz and say – WTF DEX!

Lisa: Dex , Dex, Dex….WTF? Why on earth would she sleep with Grey’s girl? Drunk or not, that was not cool. She is her own worst enemy with her mistakes. And, it was also effed up that she used Miles to run a background check on her. She was a hot mess this episode.

Roz: That button is the worst! Dex, what the hell?

Final Thoughts
Leah: I still think Liz is shady. Who tells someone what they make? Especially when you are making money based on your ability in bed, not behind the bar.

Lisa: Dex and Grey have had their challenges in their friendship, but will he forgive this? Liz wasn’t just a hookup for Grey, he was developing feelings for her. I don’t know how he’s going to get past this.

Roz:  I really like Liz and Ansel having a moment about soccer. Why can’t we get more quiet moments?
