AGENTS OF SHIELD Roundtable: “Leap”

By  |

The new episode of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD blows apart this whole season. ANSWERS! What a concept! Though you wouldn’t know from the synopsis:

The team must trust each other in order to face impending doom and an enemy that’s closer than they think.

Join NiceGirls Rueben, Christie and Roz as we discuss the episode, using our ratings system known as SASSY – S(tupid), A(wesome), S(o) S(o) and Y(Your Thoughts):

STUPID

Roz: It was such a small moment, but Deke worrying about what makes a good moment between he and Fitz. It lacked all the other bigger issues of the episode.

Christie: I have a hard time finding anything really stupid in this episode. Could be my favorite this season. Or maybe I’m just finally relieved to understand what the heck is going on.

Rueben: I have to agree with Christie. This was the first episode I’ve actually liked the whole way through. I knew there was something wrong with Davis at the end of last week’s episode, and I felt vindicated that I was right; not that I liked the outcome, of course.

AWESOME

Roz: Izel’s power to move through matter is pretty awesome, but dangerous for later episodes, I think.

Christie: Izel’s ability to move through people is pretty cool. I mean, it’s not great for our heroes, but it is pretty cool to watch.

Also, did I mention we get answers this episode? WE GET ANSWERS!!!!!

Rueben: I was pretty impressed with those visuals too. That’s quite the ability she has. And, yes, we finally got some answers to lingering questions.

SO SO

Roz: Ghostrider connects into this? He was my least favorite arc last year, but it sounded like we’re using him in the rest of season.

Christie: The answers for why Sarge looks like Coulson were meh. I kinda figured it was something like that. I dislike being able to figure it out. But I also think it works so… I wonder if this means we get Coulson back in some form through the end of the show (next year!).

Rueben: Why did they let Davis die. C’mon, Daisy could’ve blown that glass and Yoyo could have zipped out and caught him. She’s way fast enough and strong enough. I didn’t want to see Davis die.

YOUR THOUGHTS

Roz: I think the one big moment from the SDCC panel was about Ghostrider, so I guess we’ll use that later on. I don’t know if that’s really the best choice, but I think it’s a focus for the rest of the season now.

Christie: Again, probably my favorite episode this season, mostly because it finally means it all makes sense.

Rueben: It’s been a long time in coming getting these answers, but I guess they needed a big build up to it all; but I’m just relieved to be getting answers. But the big question now is what is Sarge? I also want to know what’s going to happen to Yoyo and Mack. How can they stop Izel especially if she opens up that force field?
