BLOOD & TREASURE: Three Best Moments From “Code of the Hawaladar”

By  |

Blood & Treasure was all new this week. What did you think of the episode? Let us know in the comments.

Danny poses as arms dealer Aiden Shaw in order to extract information on the location of terrorist Karim Farouk from a middleman who owes Shaw money. Also, Farouk obtains a clue to the location of the sarcophagus of Cleopatra, and Lexi bonds with Father Chuck when she seeks his help to decipher encoded information.

Father Chuck
I’m a fan. Like a big fan. The way he chatted with Lexi about Danny was a nice touch to all of the running around. A man of the cloth, with a very personal connection to Danny is a great addition, to the group. I also like that while he is a priest, he hasn’t let that make him holier than thou. I see more heart to hearts in the future between not only him and Danny, but with Lexi as well.

Shaw
I can’t be the only one who loves him, right? He is hilarious and I really really hope he sticks around. The back and forth between Shaw, Danny and Lexi has me in stitches. Who else wanted Lexi to stab him just a little with the adrenaline…just me? He may be bumbling at times, but he did manage to get away from the authorities.

Hawala
There is a lot of cool information in Blood & Treasure. From Cleopatra to the Hawala system. If you don’t know about Hawala it is an interesting read. You can read about the ancient banking system here

Asim
This doesn’t fall under a best moments, since he died, but I’m glad Asim wasn’t the mole. I am sorry to see him go so soon though. He was just starting to be interesting.
