DEADLY CLASS Roundtable: “Sink With California”

By  |

On the latest episode of DEADLY CLASS The heroes raid Chester manor, while across town Lin runs with his daughter from El Diablo. Read on to find out what we thought of this week’s episode.

THE GOOD

Leah: I’m torn – the episode overall was good, but the fate of our characters were mostly left in limbo. Chester is a perfect blend of creepy and terrifying and I’m happy with this outcome. Saya and Maria finally said their piece to each other and Marcus and Maria had a mostly mature conversation – thank goodness!

Roz: Well, most of the Hillbillies are taken care of and those fights were well done. I mean, Lin is also going up against El Diablo and that’s not going to end well in the long term, though today’s episode was a strong show of how amazing the training of Kings is when faced with men like that. I appreciate that the training of Kings made it useful for most of Team Vegas to get ride of those Hillbillies with the C4 and their own weapons; hiding in the fridge was something that works well when we need it.

THE BAD

Roz: Chester’s not actually dead yet, and El Diablo saw Marcus holding Chico’s head. Nothing good will come from any of that. There’s also so much to say about Lin’s daughter going to the Castle or wherever it is Master Gao wants to take her for “training”. I love so much of the action, but with so many questions left unanswered, I worry that the next (think positive thoughts) season will be a time skip and we won’t get those answers.

Also, what the hell Willie? Why are you leaving town and letting a poor guy get beat up without doing more work with your girl? Has Kings really taught you nothing in terms of fighting for what you know is right?

Leah: What the actual f*ck with the cliff hanger ending! Willie just left, Marcus and Maria are standing there at gunpoint, literally holding Chico’s head, Lex is bleeding out, our white supremacist and Russian bet on the wrong horse and Petra & Billie are unaccounted for. What the actual hell!!!! Someone said to me recently the thing about Deadly Class is everyone dies. I am not willing to accept this!

THE MUSIC

Roz: London Dungeon by The Misfits is a strong choice for the opening, as was Whiskey River during much of the Hillbilly fight scenes. The Ozzy Osborne song was equally well used and well timed to the episode.
