Blindspot Roundtable: Though This be Madness, There is Method In’t

By  |

This week’s Blindspot focused on:

The FBI races to stop Madeline’s explosive scheme.

Join the NiceGirls staff as they discuss the episode using our new feature SASSY: S(tupid), A(wesome), S(o) S(o) and Y(our Thoughts):

STUPID

Roz: How did Madeline not have more safeguards to ensure her plan to take down the plane worked? You have a hacker, sure, but they aren’t always going to act in her interests.

Rueben: Why didn’t Zapata take more precautions in Zurich? She’s on her own there, trying to get the proof she needs for the FBI to bring Burke down, and let’s herself get cornered in a public bathroom? Really?!

Lisa: I agree with Rueben. Zapata should have taken backup with her to Zurich. She was so stupid to think she was going to go there and not have any problems.

AWESOME

Roz: Weitz on the plane getting things done was well above what I expect from him, but it was good to see him being good (even if it’s for a very selfish reason).

Rueben: Boston scamming Burke’s men with that fake dead man switch, and Zapata sweeping in to take them all down; as well as Weitz taking credit for saving Air Force One. We all may not like him, but he sure knows how to keep on surviving no matter what.

Lisa: I liked seeing Jane and Kurt driving to the cabin discussing road trip snacks. It was nice to see them having a normal moment, even if it was very brief. Also, I loved that the pilot of the plane was an African American woman. that was pretty bad ass.

SO SO

Roz: What’s with the lack of signal everywhere you need it? Not only the woods but also the building with the server.

Rueben: Jane’s clean bill of health from the zip poisoning is just too simple after all the time spent on her potentially dying. I’m just waiting for the other shoe to drop. Maybe this puzzle that she received will reveal another crazy level of that whole situation? And, did Jane and Weller honestly think that they could get one day off from any kind of drama? They were so close to that cabin before they were pulled back to the FBI office. I don’t think they’ll ever have a day off.

Lisa: Another puzzle? ugh…I don’t know how many more puzzles I can take.

YOUR THOUGHTS

Roz: Why does this Madeline story keep getting more and more complicated? She should be done by now, but there’s still more to her plan! Call it a day and lose, please.

Rueben: According to the clips for the next episode – three weeks from now, sigh! – it looks like the puzzle Jane received from Shepherd’s estate will reveal a traitor? What is up with that? Will we get to see Rich and Patterson on another grand adventure? What will happen to Zapata now? Will they be able to track Burke down and stop her? Hope we get some answers soon.

Lisa: I can’t believe we have to wait three weeks to see the next episode. What is going to happen to Zapata? What is the end game for Madeline? I can’t what to see how the story unfolds.

The next new episode of BLINDSPOT will air on Friday, March 8 at 8/7c on NBC.
