A Million Little Things: Perspective

By  |

On this week’s A Million Little Things:

Maggie and Delilah went on a road trip to Western Mass; Gary celebrates one year cancer free which reminds him of how Jon helped him get through it. Eddie’s old band invites him to go on tour and Katherine is offered a partnership at her firm but both question spending less time with Theo. Rome comes clean with his father about his mental health issues.

Here are Cay’s and Rueben’s thoughts:

Cay:

Weird that last week ended with Maggie collapsing, yet this one picks up with her acting and looking no different than she did before. At least she’s starting to finally come to grips with her brother’s death. And I liked the “dealing or deflecting” with Delilah – seemed like a good way to approach the situation. Didn’t see it coming that she was going to decide to submit to treatment after all that, but good!

Speaking of Maggie, kind of awkward to have her (and Katherine) at the party after Gary slept with Ashley, but he managed to get so angry with Jon that it wasn’t even addressed. This group really doesn’t exclude anyone, no matter what has gone on between the various members of the group.

I wish Rome’s dad could be more supportive of him, but I really liked the discussion that he had with Regina about it.

Ugh, another week without knowing what Ashley is up to and what she did with those papers Jon left behind. They really need to dive into that and the financial mystery a little deeper, pronto.

Reuben:

Right, Cay? Why did the story pick up with Maggie seemingly all right, heading to Western Mass with Delilah to give that talk? They give us that climatic ending and then step away from it. ARGH! I did like that Maggie went off script during her speech in order to get those students to look up from their phones. And I was floored by the reveal that she went to treatment. I wasn’t expecting that twist at all.

I was quite surprised to see James Tupper as a guest star only to have him in one little scene inviting Delilah to his bar. Is that all we’re going to see of him or is the show going to swing back around to him at some point?

How about Gary getting angry over Jon? I can’t really blame him, honestly, and I was wondering when one of them was going to react that way. I’m just glad that they let Gary get his frustrations out and then console him. Good on the guys.

That was an interesting little twist that it was Katherine taking over her wedding ring and not Delilah. I’m guessing that Delilah just isn’t ready yet.

I have to agree with you Cay that we need some resolutions with whatever Ashley is doing. How long is she going to hide the paperwork from Delilah? At some point she’s going to have to come clean, especially given that the clips for next week’s winter finale sure looks like something serious is going to happen. Also, are we ever going to learn who this Barbara Morgan is? It would be nice to have some answers.

Cay's family thinks her obsession with pop culture is "not normal". Normal is boring!
