Blindspot Roundtable: Naughty Monkey Kicks at Tree

By  |

On this week’s Blindspot, a blast from Rich DotCom’s past sends the FBI team after a deadly terrorist plot.

Join the NiceGirls staff as they discuss the episode using our new feature SASSY: S(tupid), A(wesome), S(o) S(o) and Y(our Thoughts):

STUPID

Cay: Why is there so little suspicion of Jane? How could the whole team (and Kurt!!!) not appreciate how different she is? For years they didn’t want to believe she was good, now they are blind to her malevolence.

Roz:  Oh Rich! What is this bad looking website that I probably could have made in 1997? That is horrid and it should be burned from all of the internet forever!

Rueben: OMG, that website was horrible! And Cay, you’re SO right, Weller was suspicious of Jane and followed her, but now he isn’t. What is the deal!

Lisa: I was cracking up at how bad that website was. RichDotCom lost some street cred with that crap. Lol And I’m with Cay and Rueben, why the hell are they not on to Jane? Clearly something is off and Kurt isn’t trusting his instincts! He is too smart for that.

AWESOME

Cay: Rich is the best part of nearly every episode! I liked the Zapata-Reade scene and it was unexpected when Zapata shot her coworker – was she just protecting her cover? Could she have actually been MI6? Zapata must have planned that ahead of time if she already had the evidence available, whether it’s real or fake. Not knowing which side she’s on is rather intriguing.

Roz:  While that website is so bad it’s good, I love seeing Rich undercover and looking like an aggressive environmentalist.

Rueben: Yeah, that whole ending scene with Burke and Zapata – that was a surprise. Since Burke said that she was warned about a mole, and thought it was Zapata, it’s looking – at least to me – that there is WAY more going on with Zapata now than her just going bad, turning rogue. If it is true, she’s come a long way from working NYPD. Could it be true, though?

Lisa: That is the million dollar question Rueben. What is Zapata up to? Her storyline just got way more interesting after this episode because I was ready to write her off. The scene with Reade and Zapata was pretty cool but RichDotCom always brings the awesome factor for me. I loved seeing him go undercover.

SO SO

Roz:  Jane/Remy and her need to see Sheppard one last time. It’s not going to save you, or keep you from hearing Roman day after day.

Rueben: Why are the groups they go after always so do or die? ELM [where do they come up with these names by the way?] with drones filled with white phosphorus; last time it was that military group with the deadly spores. Groan!!

Lisa: Jane wanting to see Shepard is lame and I am so over Remi. I want old Jane back or at least someone on the team to figure out she is faking it. C’mon guys!

YOUR THOUGHTS

Roz:  How many people are dying this season? Was there a reason for Keaton to die?

Cay: He’s not dead…yet – Weller said a medically induced coma.

Rueben: I’m most intrigued by the possibility that Zapata is an undercover mole for MI6. What?! And the revelation that Violet – the woman Jane/Remy has been meeting with is the “Queen of the Black Market” – that better start setting of warning signals to Weller!

Lisa: I’m very curious to see what happens on the next episode because in the trailer we saw Shepard and it doesn’t seem to go well for Jane. We will find out soon enough.
