Claws: Desna Seeks Revenge in “Burn”

By  |

Claws is racing headlong towards the end of season 2, and it’s anybody’s guess how things will play out when the dust settles. Though the episode moved the plot forward and resolved some major points, it wasn’t the most interesting or entertaining episode. With just two more episodes left, and season 3 renewed, let’s hope for lots of action and entertainment in the next two episodes.

Desna and Uncle Daddy set out with Roller, Ann, and Virginia to burn down Ruval’s warehouse, but when he saw stacks of bundled Cocaine, Uncle Daddy decided to change the plan and take the drugs rather than burn them.

Even though they’ve taken the drugs, Desna draws the line at selling them. Ann was completely against taking the drugs and storms off once they get back to the salon, headed home to see Arlene. Virginia, all Cheetos and ass cheeks this week, is pragmatic as ever, especially if it gets her something nice.

Desna finally found out why Ruval and Zlata want her so badly, she holds the license for the clinic and is the only one that can open a new clinic.  Ruval would get that license when she dies…or when he kills her. Needing to keep up the charade of their relationship, Desna convinced Ruval to put a hold on the physical part of their relationship until their wedding.

Roller plants some of the Coke in Boris’ apartment, which Ruval finds, turning him against the Russians. Earlier, Roller’s young wife told him that the baby isn’t his. Now he and Uncle Daddy are headed out with the drugs, destination unknown (to us). Dr. Ken is in the clear now that he’s gave Arlene some dirt on Zlata.

The episode leaves us with Desna being taken away in a police car, with Dean left distraught.

Claws airs Sundays at 9/8c on TNT.

Cara spends way too much time thinking about subtext, and the puns are always intended. When not watching TV, she can generally be found with her nose in a book.
