Claws: 5 Questions After “Double Dutch”

By  |

After last week’s big reveal, I expected to get some answers this week. Instead, I’ve just got more questions. Claws is bringing the drama as we head towards the season finale.

Are Virginia and Desna Bonding?

When she’s left in the charge of the salon, Virginia gains a little perspective on Desna’s life. Virginia was largely out of the picture this week, but it looks like she’s finally ready to be a full member of Desna’s circle.

Is Polly Going to Jail or to the Alter?

Dr. Ken’s is possibly the most useless undercover operative of all time, much to the frustration of Arlene and her partner. When he finds out Polly can’t go with him into witness protection, he decides to propose. Polly is really enjoying her new gig as a madame and isn’t interested in finding a new life with him in a small town. Unfortunately, in the process of telling this to Dr. Ken, she manages to incriminate herself completely. The undercover operation seems like a failure, and we know that big things are coming, so it’s hard to say what’s on the horizon for these two.

Are Jenn and Bryce Back Together?

After Jenn’s, um, unconventional methods brought Bryce out of his come, everything seems to be going well with them. Are they headed back to bliss? And what is going on with Creepy Hank?

What are Zlata and Ruval Up To?

Zlata hinted at the fact that her and Ruval’s plan has something to do with acquiring Desna’s property. Just what that property is, we don’t know yet. Maybe Uncle Daddy put some things in her name.  Maybe there’s something we don’t know about yet. We learned this week that Dean and Desna had a pretty shady mama, so that’s an avenue that could be explored. The way this show is, it’s hard to say what we’re going to find out.

What is Desna’s Plan?

Desna was rattled, but a little trip down memory lane helped her to remember who she is. Her head is clear, and she remembers who’s had her back over the years. Now she’s out for vengeance. She’s ready to take out anyone who stands in her way, and everyone else better be on board. This woman is fire, and she’s ready to watch the world burn.

Claws airs Sundays at 9/8c on TNT.

Cara spends way too much time thinking about subtext, and the puns are always intended. When not watching TV, she can generally be found with her nose in a book.
