My Top 10 Choices for July TV
Thank God it’s Summer!
That’s right it’s finally officially summer, as of Thursday, and TV viewers have a lot to look forward to watching next month.
The full TV calendar for July, covering all the new and returning dramas on the cable and major networks, those cable and/or major network dramas that are coming to an end as well as the made-for-TV movies, will be featured on our site tomorrow; but in the meantime, here are the top 10 programming options that I am most looking forward to watching.
SAYING GOODBYE
Saying goodbye is hard, especially when it comes to saying goodbye forever to favorites. Here are the shows that are coming to a close in July:
Good Witch will air its season finale on the Hallmark Channel on July 1 at 9 PM.
The final two episodes of the fourth and final season of 12 Monkeys will air on Syfy at 9 and 10 PM.
The second season finale of X Company will air on Ovation on July 16 at 10 PM.
Colony will air its season finale on the USA Network on July 25 at 10 PM.
Nashville will air its series finale on CMT on July 26 at 9 PM.
BACK FOR MORE
Here are the returning dramas for which I am most anxious to see:
On July 6, the second season of Anne with an E will air on Netflix.
On July 20, Wynonna Earp and Killjoys will both return for their season premieres on Syfy at 9 and 10 PM respectively.
WELCOME ABOARD
Actress Kristin Kreuk (of Smallville and Beauty and the Beast fame) stars in the Canadian series Burden of Truth that will be coming across the border to air on The CW on July 25 at 8 PM.
She will play a big city lawyer, returning to her hometown to take on what she thinks is a simple case, only to find herself in a fight for justice for a group of sick girls.
LET’S GO TO THE MOVIES
After taking several weeks off from the network’s themed sets of movies, the Hallmark Channel is back with the start of their Summer Nights made-for-TV movies, staring on July 28 with Love on Safari debuting at 9 PM. Network favorite Lacey Chabert will star as a web designer who finds plans for her trip to Scottsdale derailed when she learns she’s inherited an animal reserve in South Africa and must travel there for the reading of the will. Faced with the decision to sell, she meets the no-nonsense ranger (Jon Cor from Shadowhunters), who takes her on a safari in hopes that she will fall in love with the land, the animals and hopefully him.
Once you check out tomorrow’s July TV calendar, please share what programming you most want to watch next month.
