TIMELESS Thoughts: The Day Reagan Was Shot

By  |

This week on Timeless the team thinks they are heading to the 80’s to interject in the Reagan shooting only to find out their mission is much more important. They must save Agent Christopher!

Leah’s Thoughts
The Good
I’ve never felt one way or another about Agent Christopher, but I may have actually cried when she thanks the team at the end of saving her life. I’m so glad Agent Christopher (and Conner a few episodes back) got a more staring role.
Also – Flynn talking about his kids…tears! He is growing on me.
Jiya going back to the 80’s and calling themselves Cagney and Lacey – super funny to me. Jiya trying to talk at all like she was from that time was amusing.
Shout out to the wardrobe/hair & make up departments. They are killing it!

The Bad
Oh I have had it with Jessica. And like Roz said, Lucy and Wyatt have enough trouble without adding a baby to the mix. Also what is the plan? Live in a bunker with a baby indefinitely? Blech to the whole thing. Here is hoping she is actually not pregnant and just bluffing or…something. ANYTHING.

Roz’s Thoughts
The Good
All the love for Agent Christopher! I mean, she was there when Reagan was shot. Why are we just learning about this now? But honestly, all of her backstory and her history made me relate to her so much more – which is good as we need to know about her, but bad because it’s in the second to the last episode of what could be the final season.

Another 80s episode is also a great thing in my mind, from the hair (so big!) to the clothes (so much ugly plaid!) to the horrible job by Jiya with Cagney and Lacey. But I also loved watching Agent Christopher’s face when a computer was able to use that thumb drive so she knew it was all for the right reasons not to marry that guy.

The Bad
Do I need to say it? That pregnancy bomb! It’s one thing for Wyatt to realize that Jess might be a Rittenhouse sleeper with her brother’s recovery from leukemia, but it’s another to find out that all that sex was for a little baby in the mix. Lucy and Wyatt don’t need more drama to keep them apart, Jess alone is enough.

Timeless airs Monday 10/9c on NBC

Roz lives in the Los Angeles area, and has been a long time California girl. Despite her better judgment, she enjoys shows about the shallow sides of her home city, but will also find time to watch iZombie, Jane the Virgin, and much more. With a love of history, she also watches anything that is grounded in real life, including Victoria and black-ish. Having worked with children, she also follows shows she knows they watch (reminding her of those days of yore for her in the process). Contact her at roz@nicegirlstv.com.
