Dr. Hunter is a manipulative conniving brilliant doctor and watching Melina pull it off so flawlessly is phenomenal. Everytime Lane is on screen I am sure I’m watching with a curled snarly face. For Melina, who I absolutely love, play a character I love to hate, is a joy to watch.

Nominated by Ange: Danielle and Rhiannon Rockoff as Ruth Bader Parekh Schmidt on New Girl

Okay my latest pick is more girls than women but nonetheless, they’re my highlights for the week. It’d be easy to write the Rockoff sisters as just another couple of cute child stars but this week’s episode saw the character of Cece and Schmidt’s three-year-old fleshed out a bit and we were shown a bit more of Ruth’s spirited personality. “Ruth’s gonna do what Ruth’s gonna do” and that she did. Not only did she prove herself to be thoughtful, compassionate and imaginative, the strong-minded three-year-old also showed a streak of rebellion when she accidentally caused an uprising at her prospective pre-school and managed to still  come off adorable doing it.
