POLDARK: Two Big Choices {Recap}
Poldark exploded this week with two big choices for two leads that will alter the relationships between everyone.
Elizabeth
Elizabeth (Heida Reed) has spent so much time being lonely after Francis’ death, and after Ross had stopped paying at much attention to her needs in running the house, she turned to George Warleggan (Jack Farthing). Finally George, still wanting to hurt Ross (Aidan Turner) as much as possible, asks Elizabeth to marry him. She accepts, but at what cost?
Ross seems to think that he chance sway her opinion, but she tries to stay to position that George will provide the best for her.
Ross
Wheel Grace has some success in finding tin in the rock, but just as it looks as if Ross’ investment will turn around, the mines cave in and he chooses to close the mine for good.
During the course of the series, Ross has always tried to do what it best and stand for his positions, but losing two more men in the cave-in as well as Francis, the costs are too much.
But when he learns of Elizabeth’s proposal, he also takes it upon himself to try and convince Elizabeth otherwise. He does so in a way that scares me (it may be uncomfortable for some to watch) and it seems one step too far for what he’s been trying to do. He has always fancied Elizabeth, but to do what he did feels far gone.
It also feels so far gone because Demelza (Eleanor Tomlinson) has been fighting for her marriage and her husband all alone.
But what will happen now that Ross seems to have abandoned Demelza and wants to take Elizabeth somewhere?
Poldark has two more episodes to air on PBS, Sundays at 9PM/8PM Central.
