THE MINDY PROJECT: Seven favorite things about “Concord”
Can you believe that this week marked 99 episodes of The Mindy Project? It doesn’t seem all that long ago we were introduced to Dr Mindy Lahiri, a skilled OB/GYN whose personal life was less of a success to the point where she was drunkenly crashing speeches at her ex’s wedding. With a big focus of this week’s episode focusing on Danny’s wedding, would history be repeating itself? Thankfully no, with a lonely Mindy making her way to her childhood home in Concord, Massachusetts and staying with her brother and mother for the weekend. That doesn’t mean she was free from shenanigans though, because hey where’s the fun in that?
For an episode where the character of Danny Castellano had a big focus and made quite an impact on our leading lady, this week’s episode somehow managed to pull off the audience not actually seeing Danny Castellano at all (no, those talking photos don’t count). Genius or not, I don’t know. We heard a lot from him and about him, yet despite his wedding apparently being on, we didn’t see a peep of the festivities apart from Morgan at the rehearsal dinner. (I still can’t decide if that’s a good or bad thing. I did after all prepare myself for the inevitable heartbreak this episode.) Not to mention Chris Messina was not even listed as guest star in the closing credits. Musings aside, click through the gallery below to reveal my favorite things about this week’s episode, “Concord”.
New episodes of The Mindy Project are released on Hulu every Tuesday.
