It’s that time of week again – where we pick our favorite women from the previous week in TV.

Nominated by Roz: for her emotional journey in this week’s episode of “Underground”. She’s always been a woman with many hidden feelings, but this week I think she started to cry and show just what she’s capable of.

Allison Janney as CJ Cregg from West Wing
Nominated by Melissa: Allison reprised her West Wing character, CJ Cregg, at a White House briefing on Friday to draw attention to the opioid epidemic and those who are battling addiction. She plays an addict on Mom, a show that discusses addiction with authenticity, humor and poignancy. It was a creative way to draw attention to her cause, and one that generated tremendous coverage on both straight news network entertainment news platforms. Well done, Allison.
