DOMINION 2.05 – ‘Son of the Fallen’ Betrayal Bites & Vega goes BOOM!

Gabriel and Michael invade New Delphi and wasted no time in creating chaos upon their arrival. It must have been the falling bodies that drew Alex out and straight in front of Michael. Family Reunions are dangerous under the best of circumstances. Looks like a storm is coming!

Alex creates an uneasy alliance with the Dyad Julian in hopes of destroying Gabriel and could it be, Michael too? Julian notices the good General Riesen’s heath is failing and makes him an offer I wouldn’t refuse. Would you become a Dyad if it would save your life? That’s a tough call to make.

Gabriel and Michael have a spat on how to proceed with their plan in New Delphi. Michael ends the argument by stabbing his brother, leaving him the winner by default! That was ice cold! Well, there isn’t much Michael wouldn’t be willing  to sacrifice for Alex. As proof, we are given a flashback on when Alex and Michael met. It was very enlightening seeing what brought the two of them together!

Well, it was a good thing Gabriel healed fast! Seeing Alex capture Michael was painful to the extreme. And, even after all that while lying trapped in a net, Michael remains loyal to his charge, Alex. Gabriel for his part is having none of it! In the end he is just an angel looking for his Daddy! He is willing to kill Alex in the belief God will listen. Thankfully Julian interrupts the party at the last instant!
Boy! isn’t he full of surprises! It seems Julian is a blast-from-the past for Michael! Holy whiplash batman!

Gates is with Claire when she works herself up in a fine fury over the scheming of Whele and nearly collapses. Arika comes to the rescue with a doctor who both have plans of their own for that baby. Arika is the truest threat.

Daddy Whele continues on with the rebels and when Jasper gets shot,  he makes a call to Arika under the ruse of aid for Zoe’s lover boy. Aria demands the explosives Zoe stole in exchange for aid. Funny thing was, David is the ultimate survivor and betrays both sides for his favorite person. Himself! One thing about Daddy Whele, once he commits there is no stopping him! Blowing up the city in two factions was genius if you want to create the most chaos. Mission accomplished!

Observations:
• Dominion Life Lesson: “We must fight our battles on our own.”
• I totally adored the hood / cape combo Michael was wearing and would buy that in an instant!
• It’s official. Gates is besotted with Claire which is a good thing, cause Alex is really grooving on Noma!
• “What good is a message if nobody can read it?” Gabriel does have a point.
• Gabriel has swagger!
