THE GOOD WIFE 6.22 – “Wanna Partner?” Frenemies & Fond Farewells

Peter is unbecomingly kind while Eli is exceptionally smarmy. Something is up. Peter is running for President! Whoa! I agree with Alicia, giggles are appropriate! Peter is ramping up into full campaign preparation and sits down with the kids of the big news. Alicia who has already pissed at Eli for editing her personal biography to better shine a spotlight on Peter has had it! She pulls the plug on the whole matter and removes her support.

Mr. Lester, Bishop’s affable lawyer lackey, pays Alicia a visit in search of Kalinda. Alicia is pissed and warns Cary something is up. Mr. Lester shows up at Alicia’s former law firm to rattle more cages. Kalinda being Kalinda simply appears out of thin air to call the dogs off her friends. She promises to meet Lemond the next day but never shows. This leaves Mr. Lester in a bad position which leaves Kalinda in the cat bird seat. She takes a moment to have one final drink with Alicia who share a emotional goodbye, puts on her sunglasses and struts down the sidewalk and out of our lives in pure style.

David Lee and Diane are arguing as usual when Mr. Lee spies a rat in the form of Louis Canning’s wife, Simone, who just happens to be the firms new paralegal. He immediately goes into full freak mode and demands her dismissal. Poor Simone, being the wife of a jerk is hard. Everyone thinks she is a spy for Louis. Diane and the rest of the partners decided to err on the side of caution and Ms. Canning is dismissed.

This leads to a reaction of epic proportions from Louis Canning himself who storms into the firm demanding an explanation. Oddly enough, this time his indignation might actually be real. He vows to burn the firm to the ground and shows up on Alicias doorstep with one question. “Want a new partner?” WHOAH! What a way to end the season!

Questions:
Will Peter run for President in spite of his family’s wishes?
Will Alicia and Fin get together?
Will Alicia partner with Louis Freaking Canning?

My guess for all of three questions is YES!
